Inauguration Benediction
Rev Lowery, an 87 yr old civil rights leader gave the benediction and included the closing words “Lord, in the memory of all the saints who from their labors rest, and in the joy of a new beginning, we ask you to help us work for that day when black will not be asked to get back, when brown can stick around – when yellow will be mellow – when the red man can get ahead, man – and when white will embrace what is right." Lowery seems to be stuck in the mindset of the 60’s, after all, didn’t “whites embrace what was right,” in his mind, by electing Obama in the first place?
Booing and shoe throwing
When President George Bush was introduced at the Inauguration many booed, shouted obscenities, and lined up to throw shoes at an effigy. Prior to the inauguration, crowds gathered around a two-story inflatable blow-up doll with a Pinocchio nose to "Give Bush the Boot" at DuPont Circle in Washington, D.C.. When Bush climbed aboard Marine One to retire to Texas, some in the crowd cheered and erupted in song, chanting, "Na na na na, hey hey, goodbye." Is this what our country has become? A gang of democratic thugs? The problem with the Republican Party is, they act with decorum and respect for other people.
Obama: we are also a country of muslims and non-believers
Although Obama has declared his Christian faith to the point of making a show of it, the truth came to light once again in the inauguration, as he declared that the U.S. is "no longer a Christian nation," today in his inaugural address he affirmed America is a nation of many faiths that includes Muslims and "nonbelievers." Obama's statements about an inclusive country were strikingly similar to remarks he made twice in 2007 in which he went further and stated the U.S. is "no longer Christian." At that time, some took issue with his pronouncement, fearing the declarations indicated his intention to reorient the U.S. away from its traditional Judeo-Christian values.
All Guantanamo trials halted
Within hours of becoming president, Obama has issued an executive order to halt all trials of terrorists in Guantanamo, including that of Khalid Sheikh Mohammed, the self-proclaimed 9/11 mastermind and four co-defendants who faced the death penalty if convicted. This executive order stops all cases for 120 days until the Obama Administration has a chance to review all pending cases.
Resident Democratic idiot Jack Murtha volunteered to take a few Gitmo detainees into a jail in his district, because "they are no more dangerous then the existing criminals'.......only one problem there Jack you have no jails in your district, but if you build one just let us know!
Inauguration: This will be a day that lives in infamy
This inauguration will go down in history as being “the day of least democratic spending” in the next four years. With only $150 million being spent on the inauguration, democrats will view this day as a spending vacation, with a spending extravaganza to closely follow.
More Geithner testimony
Although he claims he did his taxes on “turbo tax”, he claimed that the question on extra income never came up. We all know that turbo tax has that question, and number two I highly doubt Geithner uses turbo tax, but we will no more find that out then we will find Obama’s birth certificate. He claims he didn’t know, but that is an excuse for the stupid democrats that voted for his boss to be. Should we hire him because we need him, or tun him down because we don’t trust him? Do we believe that he doesn’t know it’s illegal to hired an illegal alien? It now appears he will be appointed, which shows that the democrats view ability on a higher plane then honesty, and isn't that what got them into this mess in the first place?
Helen Thomas comes out
Helen Thomas “world’s oldest reporter” declared to the public that she is a liberal. Although we all knew that already, she announced that her reporting has never been labeled as liberal bias! Now at age 15 I knew she was biased, but I guess she was in denial! When questioned farther, she said, “as a reporter what else could I be (liberal).” I suppose that was a rhetorical question? (Sorry about the picture, I know it’s not Halloween yet)
Executive Order today
Barack issued an executive order today to put a freeze on White House Staff salaries. Is this some sort of joke? Surely this is just window dressing, I mean what can this save America? Wouldn’t a more realistic order to freeze all Congressional salaries conveigh the President’s resolve to cut costs? Shouldn’t “executive orders” be reserved for more important things?
