Governor O’Malley’s mixed up priorities

While our unpopular Governor O’Malley travels on his whirlwind multi-country trip to set up foreign offices to attract business to Maryland, his past administration as mayor kept such poor records that Baltimore City stands to lose $8.2 million in stimulus money from the Obama Administration, through what Vice President Biden refers to as the “smell test,” if it smells funny it will be denied. One thing the O’Malley Administration has been known for ever since taking office is their ability to fail the smell test!

O’Malley feels that his foreign offices have the ability to add 250 jobs to the state. Now my question here would be, are these jobs in the private sector or are these just more government jobs to man those offices. If they are jobs to man those offices, will those positions be filled by Marylanders or will they be filled by citizens of the respective countries they represent? It would make good business sense to fill those positions by their citizens, and if they do, how exactly did Marylanders benefit? He now has 12 foreign offices manned and ready to increase business, and has personally enjoyed all the globetrotting needed to set up this new budgetary bleed on our citizens.

O’Malley has found enough extra time to cut a new CD with his musical group O’Malley’s March, but yet he has procrastinated all year to make the necessary cuts in the budget to assure Maryland’s liquidity. His torture of the wealthiest citizens of Maryland has led to a mass exodus of 1/3 of our states millionaires, whom he said, “are willing to pay their fair share.” He sits on the fence of the Constellation Energy regulation problems, offering a combination of re-regulation and new rules, after he admitted that Glendenning’s de-regulation was a bad idea. He ran on the premise that he would fight the “big bad electric company,” then proceeded to abandon us after the election. He had a good teacher in throwing people under the bus, as his savoir in Washington has done that so often himself.

The Stimulus Plan has allowed O’Malley to continue his poor budgetary practices with Maryland’s taxes, and in fact Obama has encouraged it! When faced with serious budget cuts he always throws our educational system under the bus first, while securing his additional social agenda that in actuality should go FIRST! Like his benefactor in Washington, O’Malley thinly veils his short comings to the “past administration.” Eventually they will have to take criticisms on THEIR agendas, and expenditures. Obama and O’Malley share one thing in particular, they have both have increased expenditures to a monumental level, one never seen before.

Implied Rights

Implied Rights
Kevin Bryant

Stupidity has reached a new low here in the state of Missouri. It has been determined that the people of Missouri no longer have the right eat at McDonalds, buy an air conditioner, use deodorant or drive Fords. In fact, people of Missouri do not even have the right to drink water.

The Missouri State Court of Appeals decided a case recently involving the rights (or lack of) cities to impose smoking bans and have the ability to apply that ban to some businesses but not others. I myself do not have a problem with smoking bans in public schools, churches, restaurants or other places frequented by children. Children for the most part do not have the right to choose where their parents take them, and I do not advocate that children disobey their parents.

The Missouri State Court of Appeals decided in favor of the cities. No big shock there even though I strongly disagree with smoking bans and think it should be left up to the individual businesses to decide if they want to restrict or regulate smoking and other behavior within their own establishments. What I strongly disagree with is the reason the court gave for siding with the cities. Their reasoning was that since there is no law specifically granting Americans the right to smoke, the cities have a right to regulate the activity as they see fit. It is my constitutional right to life but there is no such law that states I have a right to suck out oxygen from the atmosphere. So does this mean I have the right to live but not the right to breathe?

What ever happened to implied rights? If I decide to go out on my deck just to soak up some run rays, does the government have the right to arrest me because there is no such law that states that sitting in the sunlight on one’s own property is a specific right? The Constitution states that all Americans have the right to Life, Liberty and the Pursuit of Happiness. The part about “as allowed by the government” must be in the small print that I failed to read.

The decision of the court sets a very dangerous precedence. This decision opens the door for total government control. Unless struck down by the Missouri Supreme Court, this ruling could easily lead the way of Missouri becoming the first communist or socialist state within the United States. Think about this, you have the right to own a business but no where does it say you have the right to make a profit from that business. You have right to own land but no where is it specifically written that you may choose what type of flowers you may grow on that property. If you paint your house yellow and I being your neighbor wake up one day and decide that I don’t like the color yellow anymore, I can take you to court over it and the court can force you to paint your house a different color. It’s not written anywhere that you have the right to choose what color your house can be. Illinois has the motto: Land of Lincoln. Missouri should consider changing theirs from: The Show-Me State to Land of the Oppressed.

Implied rights: The Constitution was written not strictly by a bunch of lawyers but it sure is being ripped apart by them. The Constitution was written so as to allow for the use of that little something called Common Sense. We all know common sense is dead at the federal level of government and in some state governments as well. Missouri has now become a member of that select group of states that include California, Washington, Oregon, Massachusetts, New York, Michigan and a few others where common sense is no longer applied or allowed.

The Next Best Thing

The Next Best Thing
Kevin Bryant

I inadvertently told a fib in my last piece. I stated that I was going to write the Missouri legislature. Well, as it turns out, they are not currently in session as per the Missouri Constitution and there is not a single email address that will reach all them at once. Since I don’t have the patience to gather all those email addresses and put them into one single email, I instead did the next best thing. I wrote to the Governor instead. Since the website only allows for 2000 characters per correspondence, I had to make it a little shorter than I would have liked.

Below is my letter to the Governor of Missouri. I’ll let you know if I get a response.

Governor Nixon,

Leadership should always come from the top down, never from the bottom up. It has become quite apparent in the past 5 months that leadership on the federal level only wants to strip more power from the states and absorb that power at the federal level.

I do not understand why so many Governors are allowing this to happen. The Constitution of the United States specifically states that all powers not specifically granted to the federal government are reserved to the states and the people. The only Governors I see questioning the federal government is Mark Sanford, Bobby Jindal & Rick Perry.

Are these the only ones that are willing to question the leadership of the federal government and ask the questions of "where in the Constitution does it state that you have that authority"?

Americans believe that we have no voice anymore at the federal level. We have no leadership at the federal level and coming soon we will have no state governments allowed to stand up and protect the rights of its citizens because the federal government will have taken any and all rights from the states.

Governor, do you want to be re-elected? The actions of our current President and his administration has conservatives and most moderates absolutely livid at the actions which it is taking and liberties they are taking at twisting the Constitution or just ignoring it completely. If you don't want to be caught up in the democrat downfall that is going to take place starting 2010 and peaking in 2012, then you need to call upon all members of the Missouri legislature to stand up as one and demand that the rights and powers of the state not be infringed upon. Call upon the Governors of other states to do the same, and lead the charge calling for a Constitutional convention so that all states may retain their proper authority as our Founding Fathers meant for them to have and properly define the limitations of the federal government.

Respectfully,
Kevin Bryant

Obama using scare tactic to pass cap and trade

Obama used a scare tactic last week in an effort to push his cap and trade policies. He claimed that Southern Florida and North Carolina Beaches would be swallowed by water, even though no evidence of such events through actual calculations exists. The scare tactics are based on worst case scenarios, and computer models, which have in the past proved to be wrong. Remember when Al Gore referred to the condition as “global warming?” Then once that threat proved to be wrong, he now refers to it as “climate change.” Hard to be wrong when you include ALL weather changes now, isn’t it?

"Global Climate Change Impacts in the United States," was orchestrated by a media consulting company and comes just as Congress is approaching a vote on plans for huge new taxes on energy. This report has all the fingerprints of David Axlerod and his astroturfing company that is known for altering public opinion through various sources, some of which can be labeled as extremely questionable. The report was compiled by 30 NOAA scientists, environmental activists, and political strategists, but scientists that disagree with the report claim it’s nothing more than scare tactics.

The report warned of possible sudden death for humanity, because the "projected rapid rate and large amount of climate change over this century will challenge the ability of society and natural systems to adapt." The report still warns about global warming even though that trend has stopped, by what many scientists think will be several decades. Even if this scenario were true, it is a proven fact that humans, and plant matter flourish in warmer climates. The flip side of these known facts is that a cooling era would cause far more problems in crops, and human death than an era of warming. Historically more people die from cold weather then they do from heat related deaths.

Let’s think about what Al Gore claimed in his movie, he claimed that higher CO2 emissions caused global warming. This was later declared a fallacy, by many scientists, and now seem to be the talking point for a house of cards about to fall. Al Gore claims that the CO2 rate continues to climb, but the temperature has remained stable for the last 5 years, so how can this claim possibly be true now? Enter his new claim of “climate change,” it will only be a matter of time before he tries to link CO 2 to “global cooling,” all the while increasing his personal fortune through his “Non-profit” company. Gore claimed that he gives all his income from the movie, books, and speaking fees to a non-profit company. Of course he does, it is HIS company, and as CEO he may designate his own pay, and perks. Gore has increased his personal wealth from 1.5 million when he left office to over 100 million now. There can be no rationalization about how he acquired those funds. He is an egomaniac who still has a chip on his shoulder for the election that he feels, was stolen from him, and this is the way to obtain the respect that he lost.

The biggest problem with what the administration wants to push down our throats is that cap and trade does nothing on its own to reduce emissions! It only taxes the ones being produced, and if Obama doesn’t think that those costs won’t just be passed onto the end user, he is sadly mistaken. This is merely an avenue for the government to make more money on taxes plain and simple, and they are attempting it through lies and partial truths with no scientific backup other then “computer modeling” and as we all know, the weather forecast is rarely correct 7 days in advance, why should we believe a prediction years in advance?

Stand Up

Stand Up
Kevin Bryant

Stand up to a bully and one of three things will happen. You get the crap beat out of you, you beat the bully at his own game or you walk away without throwing a punch because you have earned the bully’s respect by standing up for yourself.

For many years now, fewer people have been willing to stand up to the bully that is the United States Government. We elect our senators and representatives either because we think they will do a good job or in far too many cases just because we have always voted for them or the party they represent.

We have a congress that is as diverse as our country. We have Catholics, Jews, Muslims, Protestants, Blacks, Whites, Asians, Gays, Straights and some in between or combinations of these examples. There was time in life that it didn’t matter what they were so long as they respected and represented the people honestly and in good faith, protected the rights of the people and worked solely on behalf of the people.

As individuals, we will always have among us the strong willed, the weak minded, those who like to think for themselves and those who wish to just be left alone and have others make all the decisions for them. Those of us that are strong willed self thinkers are becoming more and more the minority of this country.

As a nation, we have gone from a strong nation ready to lead the world and meet any challenge head on, to a nation divided because government wants us that way. Divide the masses and they are more easily conquered. To bluntly put it, we have become a nation full of wimps, sissies, crybabies and welfare addicts.

This has nothing to do with republicans, democrats, left or right, conservative or liberal. For more than two hundred years, the people of this country have disagreed with one another over various issues. It’s human nature to disagree because we all have the ability to think for ourselves. But no matter what we disagreed about, we all believed that our rights, freedoms and our way of life were to be protected, even if it meant giving our own lives in their defense.

We were a nation of morals and principals. In the past, when our leaders violated our morals and principals, they no longer had our trust and we voted them out of office or forced them to resign. Today, we complain a little then turn the other cheek because we have become soft, reserved and meek just like the government officials of today want us to be. In the Bible, God says the meek shall inherit the earth. Maybe some day in the future that will happen but today, the meek just sit there and get crapped on every day by the government and act like Oliver Twist and ask: “Please Sir, may I have some more”.

So, to Kip Bonds, Emanuel Cleaver, Claire McCaskill and Barack Obama, I promise this: Obama, you will never get my vote and I will do everything within my power to see to it that you do not get re-elected. Cleaver, same goes for you because you are nothing more than a weak minded racist first and foremost and I have no tolerance for racist. Bonds, McCaskill, Jackson County Missouri and the Officials of Lee’s Summit Missouri, cast one more party line, self indulging, going against the Constitution or what is best for the people who elected you vote and like the others, I will do everything legally within my power to vote your rear ends out of office as well.

By the end of this week, I will have written an open letter to the state representative a demanding that Missouri work with other states and demand a constitutional convention to reinforce and this time strengthen constitutional limits upon the federal government and give the powers that were reserved for the states back to the states.

If we the people do not reign in federal government now, the time it will take to undo everything the federal government has done over the past 2 years and counting and put power back into the hands of state government where it belongs will be immeasurable of not impossible to accomplish.

When is a whistle blower no longer a whistleblower?

Former Inspector General Gerald Walpin can probably answer that question best. After turning in a report on misappropriation of federal AmeriCorps funds by a prominent Barack Obama supporter and was shortly thereafter fired by the White House. Federal Inspectors are supposed to be protected from politics, by apparently not in this case. The law states that to fire an Inspector General, written intent has to be delivered 30 days prior to Congress, with a reason for dismissal, this was not the case with Walpin.

Two days after his report on AmeriCorps, he was given the choice to resign immediately or be fired. The administration followed the firing with a letter to Congress stating, “"It is vital that I have the fullest confidence in the appointees serving as inspectors general. That is no longer the case with regard to this inspector general." Not once was a reason given for his dismissal.

Sen. Chuck Grassley, R-Iowa, who co-sponsored the Inspector General Reform Act of 2008, said in an interview, “We cannot afford to have inspector general independence threatened. In light of the massive increases in federal spending of late, it is more critical than ever that we have an inspector general community that is vigorous, independent and active in rooting out waste, fraud and abuse. I urge you to review the Inspector General Reform Act you co-sponsored and to follow the letter of the law should you have cause to remove any inspector general."

The White House responded by saying, “Walpin was not immediately fired, but suspended for 30 days of paid leave as a countdown to his official release, and that his dismissal, indeed, was related to the Johnson investigation.”

Obama supporter and former NBA star Kevin Johnson, who was the target of Walpin’s report has been supported by White House counsel Gregory Craig and cited in an ethics complaint filed against Walpin by the acting U.S. attorney in Sacramento, Lawrence Brown. Although on the surface the ethics complaint looks to be merely retribution, by the Mayor of Sacramento, and the St. HOPE Academy, the expose’ of the misuse of government money did effect the reaching of a settlement requiring the organization to pay back over $400,000 of $850,000 in grants it was given through the AmeriCorps program.

When is a whistle blower no longer a whistle blower? When he does his job too well for the President’s comfort.

Will Czars replace the cabinet members?

Many people are wondering about the purpose of Czars in the Obama Administration. In naming a Czar, the Administration does two things; they circumvent a requirement to have the person approved by a congressional committee, as in a cabinet appointment. The Administration denies additional federal oversight by congress after they person has been named. They work exclusively for the President, and answer only to him.

The count so far on Czars stands at 20, and constantly growing. At first the naming of one Czar seemed not only to be a bad choice of words to describe a person to oversee a problem area of public concern. Now the Czar declarations have become a problem on their own, they give unanswerable control to a hand full of personal henchmen. Even if the democratically controlled Congress were to object to the new Czar style of government, they can’t. The President is now ruling under executive order, and his new posse of Czar henchmen are about to take total control of our lives, answerable to NOBODY except Don Corleone Obama.

If anyone sees fit to disagree, as my associate Ann Miller has declared, they will be labeled racist. Why does that happen? It is a label that is basically subjective and
indefensible, it causes one to defend a position that means different things to different people. The sad part is while the accused is defending themselves on the racism charge, the main issue of the disagreement slips away, which is exactly what the accuser intended.

Migrating South

Migrating South
Kevin Bryant

The die-hard Bush Haters of America really do hold on to their convictions that former President G.W. Bush was evil and the worst president in U.S. history. Blacks in America are still on cloud nine about the first half black person being elected president that they continue to sing his praises daily and tell the world that this man can do no wrong no matter what.

A few months ago I said that Obama was the Yankees of baseball or the Raiders of football because you either love those teams or hate them. There can be no in-between. Looking at the Rasmussen numbers today, it appears that this comparison is starting to become accurate.

Blacks and die-hard Bush Haters are going to give Obama a free pass no matter what he does until he finally has his hands so deep into their pockets that they will no longer be able to afford a single item on McDonalds’$1 menu. Independents and moderates are starting to look at the actions of the President and not at just the man himself.

Since the first poll after Obama took office, his popularity has slowly but surely been migrating south. His numbers would be falling faster if it weren’t for die-hard Bush Haters and support from blacks based simply on race. Then add in the fact that Muslims support him because of his upbringing and his showing of favoritism towards Muslim nations and a severe case of no backbone when dealing with them. Then there of course are the Hispanics because they know he will never tighten the borders beyond that which they are now and most likely will lessen border security and give amnesty to all illegals here now or that enter the country in the coming months. The difference between his approval and disapproval rating has dropped 11 points in 4 months. I previously predicted that by Thanksgiving 2009 his approval / disapproval ratings would be close to even. He’s very close to being on path to proving that prediction correct.

I firmly believe that Obama knows he is going to be a one term president and this is why he is hell bent on moving this country as far to the left as possible in the shortest amount of time. As with health care, he stated a couple of weeks ago that if we do not get universal health care implemented within a year now, it will never happen. He knows that he is going to lose congressional support and the democrats realize that they are going to give up a lot of seats in the 2010 election IF the republicans can stay on message and the election is based on the issues.

Here are the top 8 issues that the public is concerned about based on public polling: 1) Economy, 2) Government Ethics / Corruption, 3) Social Security, 4) War in Iraq / War on Terror / National Security, 5) Taxes, 6) Education, 7) Health Care & 8) Immigration. According to the latest polling, republicans are considered more able to favorably deal with these issues than democrats when it comes to numbers 1, 2, 4, 5 & 8. Dealing with Social Security issues, democrats were favored but it close. Then add in that 58% of Americans favor more nuclear and clean coal technology power plants, 59% believe we should be drilling for more oil and natural gas in the artic and off shore, while only 34% of Americans believe that global warming is actually occurring and 29% believe that it is caused by man.

A BIG IF but if Obama does get re-elected, it will be based on two reasons; race & fear. Obama got just shy of 96% of the black vote in the last election. He will carry right around 88%-90% the next time around. He got 67% Hispanic vote and he will get around 60% next time and of course he’ll get a majority of the Muslim vote as well but I think he will lose the Asian support as well as a mass majority of the not so die-hard Bush Haters, and almost all the independent votes. A majority of Wall Street won’t back him because of his belief of government control of the private sector and when he is done dismantling the auto industry, he can pretty much kiss the UAW and everyone but the teachers union good-bye. The only way for him to hold the office is to use the fear tactic that has been used in the past. Those evil republicans are going to take away your social security, Medicare and every government handout program there is. This PLUS the race factor might be just enough to get him a second term but I personally doubt it.

Finally, someone to stop the lunacy!

In the eleventh hour on Monday came help from one of the more unlikely players in the government. A known liberal, Supreme Court Justice Ruth Ginsburg, has seen enough of the violations of the Constitution by the executive branch, and has put the purchase of Chrysler by Fiat, on hold.

Obviously Ginsburg has been troubled by the Administration’s interference in court matters, and she must feel encouraged that other justices feel the same way, so she stayed the sale for one week while the other justices review all the documents she has already seen. Judges seldom like it when someone tells them how to “do their jobs,” and thankfully this must be one of those situations.

The issue in front of the courts was presented by Indiana Treasurer Richard Mourdock, and his attack that defended secured creditors, and state pensioners. His argument was that secured creditors were getting only 29 cents on the dollar, while junior creditors (UAW) were only getting 50 cents on the dollar. Obama’s obvious bias was spelled out in a previously reported article. Thank goodness someone is trying to reel in the out of control Administration, and the Supreme Court might just be those “cooler heads.” If only Justice Ginsburg were to vote in favor of denying the sale, it would almost be certain that the conservatives would follow suit and hand Obama his first and only defeat of his Presidency.

The actions of the Executive Branch have circumvented the legal system in our country, by instituting biases that wouldn’t have been allowed by the Bankruptcy Court. With any luck the Supreme Court will take this “constitutional law professor” to school and tech him the true meaning of humility!

I Do Solemnly Swear

I Do Solemnly Swear
Kevin Bryant

"I do solemnly swear (or affirm) that I will faithfully execute the Office of President of the United States, and will to the best of my ability, preserve, protect and defend the Constitution of the United States." Article Two of the United States Constitution

Article Two of the Constitution specifically dictates the powers of the Executive Branch of government. The swearing in or affirmation of the oath of office is about the only thing that our current President has done in accordance with the Constitution.

Nowhere in Article Two of the Constitution does it say that the President shall own or oversee private industry, banks or anything else. Nowhere does it say the President shall oversee bankruptcy proceedings or decide if a company is too big to fail, or appoint czars that are only to answer to the President. Goodness, we now have more czars in our federal government than Russia had in any given 500 year period of history.

I could sit at this keyboard for hours on end listing out various constitutional violations committed by this President. I don’t have that type of time or the inclination to do it.

Not only is our President overstepping his boundaries, but so are many in state governments as well. One such example would be the subject of same sex marriage. 6 states now recognize gay marriage but did they do so legally in accordance with regards to both the state and federal constitutions? 30 states have voted down same sex marriage and if it were to come up again in an election here in Missouri, I would vote against it. 5 of the 6 states that recognize gay marriage either voted against it or were not offered the chance to vote on it at all.

What happened to the will of the people? What happened to the idea that the people are in charge and control governmental powers and not governments control the power over the people? The biggest question of all is what happened to the system of checks and balances? The Supreme Court of the U.S. and many state Supreme Courts have the right to strike down so many of the decisions being made today but they are not. Isn’t their jobs supposed to be to uphold the constitutions of the state and federal governments respectively?

Coming soon, Great Britain is going to be holding an election and it has been forecasted by several well respected political analyst that Gordon Brown and his party is basically going to receive a thumbs down vote because of lack of confidence and total mismanagement of government. The sad truth is, Gordon Brown has acted as a moderate if you compare the actions of Brown and Obama side by side.

Hopefully the conservatives on this side of the ocean will see this as a wake up call. Obama and the democrats have opened such a wide array of avenues for real conservatives to use and find success in the next election that it’s almost impossible for them to lose. My only question is, are there any real conservatives left in politics?

Sniglets 23-09 the week's news from the right side

Eric Holder rescinds ruling
Remember the two Black Panthers who were caught on film intimidating voters during the Presidential election? They stood guard with batons in hand, and challenged news reporters who asked them questions about why they were there. Well, they were convicted in court, and given orders never to appear at polling places in the future. Over the weekend, the Justice Department, has micro-managed once again, and rescinded the Judge’s ruling. No reason was given, but now the Justice Department has sent the message that it’s ok to intimidate voters. I wonder if two KKK members were standing outside a polling place in Alabama with batons in hand, if the outcome would have been different……..never mind that was a stupid question.

We don’t want to be in the car business
The President has stated that he doesn’t want to be in the car business, it is strange however that the White House didn’t trust the bankruptcy court to fully handle the proceedings of GM’s claim. He picked through the carnage, he showed favoritism, he made decisions on who would get what and how much. He has decided what kind of cars he wants built, and I’m sure being the new majority holder, he will get what he wants. He chased Chrysler to the overseas company of Fiat, a company that never succeeded in America. He has allowed Mexico, Canada, Korea, and China to supply cars to GM, once again chasing business abroad. He has allowed the UAW the second largest stake in GM, and I’d be willing to bet that will be repeated two more times in the bankruptcies of Ford and Chrysler in the near future. How asinine is it for the White House to claim that they don’t want to be in the car business? They love to micro-manage, and the next thing they will tell us is that they don’t want to be in the health care business……….yea right!

Who gets the job of dismantling GM?
Brian Deese, not out of Yale Law School yet, and who has never set foot in an auto factory, will be the 31 year old to dismantle GM in the bankruptcy proceeding. He has become the most influential voice in a group of people that will mold the Obama experiment of the “new corporate America.” Deese was the leading person who was instrumental in pushing Chrysler towards a Fiat buy out, and therefore pushing the ownership to a foreign country. How Master Deese came into this job is unclear, he doesn’t have any background in the financial world, or even anything slightly related to the auto industry. One has to wonder how an under experienced, untested, law student came into a position of extreme power in the auto industry, unless he really isn’t the lead man, maybe he’s just a front for the micro-managing executive branch. In a real world, who would put a 31 year old in charge of a $50 billion dollar bail out?

Georgia gets a slap in the face
Georgia decided to reiterate a federal law, banning everyone but citizens of the United States of America from voting. The state law was enacted to assure the federal laws that are on the books weren’t ignored. All was well and good until the Department of Justice got involved, and now everyone in Georgia is questioning the common sense of Eric Holder. It seems that the Department of Justice has told the Attorney General in Georgia that their law may NOT be enforced, that the law is discriminatory. If this is allowed to continue, our country will cease to be controlled by its citizens. This IS the administration that will ruin our country if these idiotic statements continue. The Supreme Court is the definitive body that decides what is and what is not discrimination, this is yet another example of how the Administration is micro-managing the court system. I would strongly suggest the Attorney General of Georgia take this mandate from the administration to the Supreme Court. The conservatives are concerned about Judges from ruling from the bench, but now it seems what we should be worried about ruling from the cabinet.

Obama thinks immunity should be granted in 9/11 attack
Even though fifteen of the 19 terrorists who hijacked U.S. aircraft and crashed them into the World Trade Center and Pentagon on September 11, 2001, were from Saudi Arabia and were affiliated with al-Qaida. Intelligence and past actions link the Saudi government and the four princes with al-Qaida. President Obama has petitioned the Supreme Court to use immunity to insulate them from legal actions in a law suit against the four princes for their part in the 9/11 attack. To deny the victims of 9/11 a legal avenue to recoup their losses speaks yet volumes to the idea of which Obama’s alliances are based.

Obama backs down on Iran
In a statement this week President Obama reiterated that Iran may have the right to nuclear energy, provided it takes steps to prove its aspirations are peaceful. His declaration sent jolts down the spines of Jerusalem officials concerned over Iran's suspected nuclear weapons development program. The official position had been no nuclear devices at all, and now it seems Obama has given in. This is destined to change the face on Israel’s security for the immediate future. Each step Obama has taken in the Israel issue has shown his preference to back the Arab Nations.

Another gaffe, but this time it wasn’t Biden!
The government on Wednesday accidentally posted on the internet some very sensitive material about all our government and civilian nuclear sites and what exactly was stored at each one. Energy Secretary Steven Chu, questioned about the disclosure at a House hearing, expressed concern with respect to a uranium storage facility at the department's Y-12 facility in Oak Ridge, Tenn. The facility holds large quantities of highly enriched uranium, which if obtained can be used to fashion a nuclear weapon. Even though certain pages in the 266 page report were marked “highly confidential safeguards sensitive," government officials have claimed that no classified information leaked out. Funny how it took from May 6th until now to see that the information really shouldn’t be out on the internet.

Frank wants GM to stay
Barney Frank, pushing along with the administration to force GM into bankruptcy, but with an exception, he sees the need for employment in Massachusetts as being more important than any other part of the country. Through a strong arm maneuver, Frank has forced GM to leave the Norton Parts Distribution Facility open for an additional 14 months. My question would be, what makes Frank think his state’s plant is more important to keep open than any other state’s plants? Are the GM workers in Massachusetts somehow better than the workers in Michigan? Entitlement can be an ugly thing!

The Administration has its priorities
On Friday the feds launched an official probe into the death of Dr Tiller the abortion doctor who did late term abortions, fearing it could have been perpetrated by a “group.” Of course no such probe has been launched in the murder of a soldier in front of a military recruitment center by a Muslim convert, I suppose Obama doesn’t think THAT happened by a group of people, just one wayward soul. One set of rules for us, and another set of rules for “them.”

Obama: I am a Christian

In his campaign Barack Obama repeatedly said he was a Christian, and just as powerfully denied his Muslim upbringing. The news of the past six months has shown Obama to be an Arab/Muslim supporter. His very first interview was with a Muslim new station. His recent ignoring of Israeli diplomatic channels, and demands made to the Israel Administration have shown his predisposition to appease the Muslim world at the price of a long time ally.

Obama has had a long time association with the Muslim world, as I reported a LONG time before the election. He lulled the Jewish supporters to his campaign, and has now tossed them out like so many that he has thrown under the bus during the campaign.

He has apologized for America’s attitude in the past toward Muslims. He ignores the violence, the injustice, the human rights violations, and the archaic rules of their religion. He supports all these vile principles that the civilized world abhors. This is a very important issue, because if the citizens actually knew he supported the Muslim world during the campaign, he would never have been elected President with 9/11 so freshly ingrained in our memory. What a better way to cover his misguided ambition, then to pledge his allegiance to the people of Israel, while secretly making back room deals beneficial to the Muslim world?

Obama has basically violated “truth in advertising.” If he has lied on one issue, what makes the average American citizen think he wouldn’t lie about others?

Obama knows he has violated the trust of many groups already, and he knows America is mad. He may feel he is only going to get four years to do his democratic damage, so he is on track to force as many things down our throats as fast as he can. Very seldom does a President get a chance to “run the table,” because of full party domination, and I’m sure this is the reason for Obama’s many socialistic programs, all at once.

We can make a difference, but not until next year during the congressional elections. Democrats say this new world order is what the people voted for and now they have “spoke,” and now the programs are being instituted. I disagree; I equate the last Presidential election as a country falling for the largest internet scam in our history. He has pulled the wool over the eyes of our naïve youth, on merely the premise of “being cool.” I believe that so many people have been disenfranchised, by Obama’s actions, that he will never get elected again. Of course if he gets his way lately by allowing illegals to vote in Georgia, he will be on his way to securing the illegal vote forever.

For a Constitutional Law professor to violate the very document he was sworn to uphold, something has to be done, or we will never survive as a nation.

Obama promises the Palestinians Jerusalem

Last week in a meeting with Palestinian Authority President Mahmoud Abbas, the Obama Administration promised the PA that, “the US foresees the creation of a Palestinian state with Jerusalem as its capital.”

The Administration went on to tell the Arabs that, "The American administration was very friendly to the position of the PA," reversing all American Policy since 1947. Obama also informed Abbas that, “he would not let Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu "get in the way" of normalizing U.S. relations with the Arab and greater Muslim world.” the balance of Middle –East relations will change for at least the next four years.

This latest turn of events states the very obvious, at least to conservatives. He promised his support to Israel during his campaign, and therefore garnered campaign funds from the Jewish voters. Obama had surrounded himself with Muslims before, during and after his campaign, and now another lie has been perpetrated on the American Public. This latest stance will not only change the balance of power in the Middle-East, but will only serve to increase the chance of increased violence if Israel sees no support from the US.

Israel, although small in size can certainly handle itself, as they proved in the Seven Day War in 1967. While their win was more than decisive, it was somewhat reserved in the goals of their Administration. Nobody can compare one war to another, but their resolve and ability to overcome enormous odds can’t be discounted, and their military hardware is not only the best in the world, but the stockpile is huge.

I think Obama underestimates Israel’s abilities and resolve to exist against terrorism. Their models of how to treat terrorism are used worldwide, and their intelligence agencies are second to none. When we see repeated air drills and war games, you can bet NOBODY will catch them off guard, including the newest Muslim supporter Barack Obama.

Who is He?

Who is He?
Kevin Bryant

Our president has been in office for more than 4 months now and do we yet know who he is? The only thing we know for sure is that we know who he is not. He is not the radical leftist screaming lunatic that the George Soros crowd hoped he would be. He is not the moderate that he pretended to be during the general election. By no means is he a conservative and could never be confused for one.

He has a charisma that somehow even overshadows Bill Clinton though I must admit I never thought anyone could do that. Many think he is a better speech giver and communicator than the Great Ronald Reagan was but without his tele-prompters, be stumbles over words worse than Nancy Pelosi trying to lie her way out of being caught in a lie.

His arrogance is beyond belief. Before he came to office, the two most arrogant people to ever hold the office of President are U.S. Grant and Tricky Dickey Nixon. Now Nixon and Grant are tied for the second most arrogant.

His actions do not strictly point to Socialism, Fascism, Marxism or straight out Communism but has elements of all 4. I personally think he is trying to create a new form of government called Obamaism. Either that or the left side of his brain is not communicating at all with the right side. We know he is not for state’s rights or small business or smaller government.

120+ days in office and he is still as big a mystery now as he was when he first started to look like a legitimate contender to Hillary for the nomination. We know that he is the darling of media more so than the Clintons ever were.

Obama talks a good game but accepts no responsibilities. He is constantly trying to push blame off on someone else for things that he is responsible for. The world sees him as nothing more than a wimp and treats him as such. Just by looking at the past 120 days, we certainly know that he’s no economics major and wouldn’t know a real economist from an Enron bookkeeper. Look who is his top advisor … TurboTax Tim Geithner.

I have gone from trying to figure out who this man is to praying that we can hold on as a free capitalist nation long enough to see his term in office come to an end. Every time I try to compare him to another world leader past or present I get different images for whatever side he is portraying that day. What I have figured out is that he a little Bill Clinton for his charisma, Nixon for his arrogance, Franklin Roosevelt for his desire to spend his way into the record books, Neville Chamberlain for his lack of having a spine, Ronald Reagan for his ability to deliver a good speech though Reagan hardly ever used tele-prompters, Jimmy Carter / Al Gore for his love of raising taxes even when he claims to be lowering them for 95% of Americans, Benito Mussolini for his belief that government should control private business and last but certainly not least……Queen Elizabeth I because I read somewhere she too was extremely difficult to get along with every time her menstrual cycle came around.
