New Year’s Eve 2024 ushered in a powerful lightning
storm that hit some notable icons
The Capitol Building was hit along with the Washington
Monument in a spectacular light show.
Also One World Trade Center in New York was hit in the
same storm.
It’s not unusual for the Capitol Building to get hit
by lightning it’s happened many times before, thankfully it has lightning rods
that channel the hit to the ground. What is unusual however is the timing, almost
at midnight on New Year’s Eve and just 20 days before the Inauguration.
Social media lit up over the irony, claiming it was
God sending a message to MAGA.
No matter what it was a curious occurance
