What will be our price for Liberty and Freedom?
As we have observed the goings on in the United States Congress and the Senate the past few months in particular; I am personally awed by the arrogance, and pomposity publically displayed by those elected officials. They no longer try to hide the fact that they have total disregard for Our Constitution (Law) but proudly express in word and dead their total disdain for it.
They, with the exception of a handful , have put aside the real definition of , or are ignorant of the difference between Liberty and Freedom and appear to Prefer personal Power and Financial gain over the onus of their office.
Paraphrasing John Locke Liberty consists of being free from the whimsical, uncertain, and arbitrary will of others and constrained only by the Constitutional powers established effective 17 September 1787.
Freedom on the other hand is expressed as being subject to the laws of Nature or God. The ability to function as we desire so long as what we do does no harm to others, or vice versa. Our freedom is thus constrained only by laws common to everyone in society and Established Constitutional government, established, I say, by We the People.
One would believe with a firm resolve, understanding, and respect for these two terms our lawmakers in Government would have no problem distinguishing right from wrong, what is Lawful or unlawful. However, Power or unrighteous dominion, and Money have polluted what was once pure and undefiled. Sadly a majority, like Judas, have sold their souls for a handful of coins, and as Pharaoh for power.
As Judas betrayed Jesus, our lawmakers have betrayed our Country. Judas hung himself, was buried in potter's field and forgotten. Pharaoh like Obama and the law makers, to spite all the signs about him (them) continued to do evil unto the people. His fate was reconciled unto the Lord. So let it be with our present crop of leaders in the DC.
We the people must defeat this evil at the voting booths throughout our Nation. Let your voices be heard loud and clear, as Patrick Henry stated so eloquently " Is life so dear, or peace so sweet, as to be purchased at the price of chains and slavery? Forbid it, Almighty God! I know not what course others may take; but as for me, give me liberty, or give me death!"

I wish we could 'vote' these politicians out of office...but I don't see that happening. The 'majority' like the freebies they have come to expect and will
continue to put the 'distributors' in control!
