American
Nurses Association is Just as Much in Denial as the Government and Media
Al Ritter
The American Nurses Association wants the HHS to
declare the nursing shortage as a national emergency but yet doesn’t declare
why.
These are the demands they want from the HHS:
- Convene stakeholders to
identify short- and long-term solutions to staffing challenges to face the
demand of the COVID-19 pandemic response, ensure the nation’s health care
delivery system is best equipped to provide quality care for patients, and
prepared for the future challenges.
- Work with the Center for
Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) on methodologies and approaches to
promote payment equity for nursing services and remove unnecessary
regulatory barriers to APRN practice.
- Educate the nation on the
importance of the COVID-19 vaccine to provide resources for widespread
administration of the COVID-19 vaccine and any subsequent boosters.
- Sustain a nursing workforce
that meets current and future staffing demands to ensure access to care
for patients and prioritize the mental health of nurses and other health
professionals.
- Provide additional resources
including recruitment and retention incentives that will attract students
to the nursing profession and retain skilled nurses to the demands of
patient care.
It seems funny to me how they don’t address the true problem,
they claim that nurses are retiring disgusted with the lack of people getting
the vaccine and they are just tired of the constant stress and pressure.
Sadly they don’t recognize the fact that almost every nurse is
now faced with the decision of whether they want to continue the profession
that they so dearly paid through the nose to receive through student loans.
Most every nurse is forced with a decision whether they want to continue the
profession they were trained for and get the vaccine or chose to vacate the
profession they once loved but were forced out because of political reasons due
to Covid.
Some traveling nurses are afforded the luxury of not having to
divulge their vaccination status but most are which explains way most are
choosing to go on the road. Either that or they just take the vax and hit the
road for more money. Either way hospitals are creating their own “emergency” of
a nursing shortage.
Logically why would any hospital demand a vaccination as a term
of employment when faced with a nursing shortage? Isn’t that counterproductive?
Sadly I always revert to logic and I apologize but, if you have
had your vax and you are a nurse in a hospital setting, why wouldn’t you still
be tested on a weekly basis? Nursing home employees still are and just because
you have had your vaccination doesn’t mean you can’t give Covid to anyone else
on either side of the employment scale. So why aren’t all hospital employees
tested weekly? Why are there double standards?
Just seems counterproductive to let nurses go just because they
won’t submit to the Covid vax and create their own nursing shortage through
denial or “retirement”.

It’s funny how they worked during the height of the ‘pandemic’ and didn’t get sick, but now are being forced into taking the vaccine or get fired. They are arguably some of the most educated professionals in all of the effects of the virus and their the most qualified to make the decision to take the vaccine or not. Yet they aren’t allowed to choose for themselves.
Why can’t everyone follow the same rules
