The Crumbling Foundation of America

The Crumbling Foundation of America
Kevin Bryant

With so much going on you never can stay on top of one political item before it is shoved aside for another. The pace this administration is going through scandals, questionable decisions and outright telling the American people they don’t give a damn about them is astonishing to say the least.

Democrats found out long ago they can champion causes that challenge the establishment because the establishment never moves. What I am talking about are loyal constitutional conservatives. Countries, like houses need solid foundations to sit atop otherwise they twist, bend and eventually crumble. Democrats went from championing the causes of blue collar working Americans to championing divisive demographic causes.

Since WWII, Jimmy Carter and Bill Clinton stayed close to the pulse of America. Many things they did in office turned out to be disastrous for the country but many of those were not by design to be that way, they were following bad advice of trusted sources. Harry Trumann & JFK believed that people were best served when allowed the whole of America to dictate America’s direction but believed government had a duty to apply as many of those wishes as possible even if it meant bumping up against the Constitution to do it.

FDR was the biggest presidential threats to American liberties since WWII before January 2009. FDR believed in socialism and put a few cracks in the foundation of this country to achieve many of his ideas. While he did do some good in the short term, in the long term most of his ideas detracted from the ideas and the boundaries of laws set forth by our Founding Fathers to constrain government. Dwight Eisenhower’s biggest failure was to allow many of FDR’s ideas remain in place. Most should have had expiration dates. But what do you expect; FDR was Eisenhower’s Commander in Chief.

The biggest difference between Roosevelt and Obama is that Roosevelt believed with his heart he was doing what was right for the country. Obama acts like he believes America needs to be taken down in world stature while removing the power of the people because they are neither worthy of nor educated enough to deserve having such power.

Obama is not the champion of the blue collar worker. Obama is not a democrat and could care less about the party. Obama is a narcissist who learned to use the party to achieve a means to control those he deems as dumber than he.

Barack Obama – November 2008: “I think that I’m a better speechwriter than my speechwriters. I know more about policies on any particular issue than my policy directors. And I’ll tell you right now that I’m gonna think I’m a better political director than my political director.”

Obama believes his destiny is to tear America down so it can be rebuilt much in the same manner Rome so it will collapse and crumble under its own weight. How do you accomplish this? Well, you certainly can’t tear down a house from the outside in without people noticing and neither can you do it to a country. You can’t tear up the main floor of a house without your friends and neighbors knowing it. Besides, you have to remove the debris and then everyone will now it. So we still have to accomplish destroying the house. Burning it down is totally out of the question and you have to do so no one knows what you are doing. You attack the foundation. You pound it until it crumbles. Since it is under the house, no need to haul off any chunks. If you do it in the daylight it appears you are repairing it even though it was solid and sound before you started. If you do it at night, people only then will question you.

Demolition teams bring down structures by precisely placing explosive charges in exact spots to implode a building. Knock out a house foundation in such a manner and the house will crumble upon itself and not outwardly.

Let’s think about some of the acts by Obama and his administration hat could possibly fracture the foundation of this country:

1.   Ordering the Environmental Protection Agency to implement portions of the Cap & Trade bill that failed to pass in the U.S. Senate.

2.   Ordering implementation of portions of the “Dream Act” that failed to pass in Congress.

3.   Orchestrating a government takeover of a major part of the automobile industry in 2009.

4.   Ordering a moratorium on new offshore oil and gas exploration and production without approval of Congress.

5.   Signing an Executive Order on March 16, 2012 giving himself and the Executive branch extraordinary powers to control and allocate resources such as food, water, energy and health care resources etc. in the interest of vaguely defined national defense issues. It would amount to a complete government takeover of the U.S. economy.

6.    Signing an Executive Order on July 6, 2012 giving himself and the Executive branch the power to control all methods of communications in the United States based on a Presidential declaration of a national emergency.

7.  Signing an Executive Order on January 6, 2013 that contained 23 actions designed to limit the individual right to keep and bear arms guaranteed by the Second Amendment to the Constitution.

8.  Amending portions of the Affordable Healthcare Act and other laws passed by Congress without Congressional approval as required by Article 1 of the Constitution.

9.      Issuing Executive orders in January 2014 amending the HIPPA law to allow the turning over of confidential medical records to Federal agencies if there is any information to be used to add individuals to the NICS list to prohibit them from purchasing firearms.

10.     Having the EPA impose regulations on the coal industry that will force many utility companies and coal mines out of business. This will cost the U.S. economy thousands of jobs and dramatically increase the cost of energy to the public. This is being done without Congressional approval.

11.  Hindering the ability of the U.S. Border Patrol Agency to not only stop illegal immigration, but to stop human and drug trafficking.

12.   Removing the work requirement from welfare reform legislation without Congressional approval.

13.   Using Executive privilege to block Congress from getting documents relating to the DOJ’s Operation Fast and Furious and the death of U.S. Border Patrol Brian Terry.

14.   Had members of his administration provide false information about the act of terrorism committed in Benghazi, Libya on September 11, 2012 and refusing to allow the State Department and other federal agencies to cooperate in the Congressional investigation.

15.   Falsely labeled the mass murder of American soldiers at Ft. Hood, Texas as “workplace violence” instead of the act of Islamic terrorism it was.

16.   Falsely labeling the IRS targeting of conservative and Christian groups as a “phony” scandal and refusing to order an active pursuit of the investigation into who was ultimately responsible.

17.   Refusing to order an independent investigation of the actions of Eric Holder and the DOJ in targeting the phone records of members of the news media.

18.    Telling the American people on a television show that the NSA was not prying into the emails and phone calls of Americans when the facts prove otherwise.

19.    Telling the American people on a television show that the NSA was not prying into the emails and phone calls of Americans when the facts prove otherwise.

20.    Having the Department of Health and Human Services order religious institutions and businesses owned by religious families to provide their employees free contraception and other services that are contrary to their religious beliefs. This is being done under the auspices of the Affordable Health Care Act and violates the religious freedom clauses of the First Amendment.

21.    Having the military place restrictions on the religious freedom of Chaplains and other members of the military in order to favor gay rights advocates and atheists in violation of the First Amendment.

22.    Having the military place restrictions on the freedom of speech of members of the military and the civilian employees of the DOD in violation of their rights under the First Amendment.

23.    Using Executive orders and government agency actions to limit Second Amendment rights. This includes actions by the Veterans Administration to disarm American veterans without due process as required by the Fifth Amendment.

24.    Having the National Security Agency intercept and monitor the private communications of millions of Americans without a court order and in violation of the Fourth Amendment.

25.     Joining with foreign governments in lawsuits against sovereign U.S. states to prohibit them from enforcing immigration laws. This is in violation of the Tenth Amendment.

26.   Filing suits under the Voting Rights Act against sovereign U.S. states to prevent them from enforcing Voter ID laws despite rulings by the Supreme Court upholding these laws. This is another violation of the Tenth Amendment and the balance of powers.

27.   Having the IRS propose new regulations on conservative 501 (C ) (4) organizations to limit their freedom of speech and political activities during election cycles in violation of the First Amendment to the Constitution.

28.      Having the FCC prepare new rules on internet neutrality in violation of the ruling by the U.S. Supreme Court striking down such regulations.

29.     Having the FCC institute a plan to place agents in newsrooms of radio and television stations as well as print media to monitor whether they are providing the “proper” news content to the public, a direct violation of the First Amendment to the Constitution.

30.   Having the Secretary of State sign the U.N. Small Arms Treaty despite the opposition of a majority of the U.S. Senate and with full awareness that the implementation of the treaty would violate the Second Amendment rights of American citizens.

31.   In the name of “political correctness,” he imposed unnecessary and dangerous rules of engagement on our troops in combat causing them to lose offensive and defensive capabilities and putting them in danger. Many American service personnel have been killed or wounded as a result of this policy.

32.   Releasing the identity of American military personnel and units engaged in dangerous and secret operations such as the killing of Osama bin Laden by Navy Seal team 6.

33.   Article 1, Section 8 of the Constitution gives Congress the exclusive power to declare war. Yet, without consulting Congress President Obama ordered the American military into action in Libya.

34.   Having the Attorney General tell Secretaries of State that they do not have to comply with the Federal law requiring states to timely send absentee ballots to military personnel.

35.   Imposing Rules of Engagement on the active military in war zones that have unnecessarily endangered the lives of American soldiers.

36.   Allowed the leaking of classified information about U.S. military operations to the media in order to enhance his political image. Such leaks place the lives of U.S. soldiers in danger.

37.   Despite being informed in 2009 of problems in the Veterans Administration involving treatment of veterans, took no action improve the situation, but instead ordered the VA to spend a major part of its budget on green energy projects at VA facilities instead on veteran care.

38   Endangered the lives of members of the American military and American civilians by negotiating with terrorists to trade five high level Taliban leaders in exchange for an American soldier who deserted his post and his fellow soldiers. In addition, he did the foregoing action in violation of Federal law since he did not provide the legally required thirty day notice to members of Congress of his intent to release prisoners from Guantanamo Bay.

39.   Continues to refuse to enforce immigration laws passed by Congress in violation of Article 2, Section 3 of the Constitution, and further has used illegal and unconstitutional Executive orders to grant amnesty or de-facto amnesty to illegal aliens currently in the United States.

40.   Has deliberately destroyed the morale and effectiveness of Border Patrol agents by interfering with their attempts to fulfill their oath of office and enforce laws legally passed by the U.S. Congress.

41.   By his deliberate actions encouraged parents of thousands of children in Central America to send their children, often unaccompanied by adults, across the U.S. border and then asking for billions of taxpayer dollars to care for these children.

42.   Ordered the Border Patrol and Department of Homeland Security to place thousands of these children on buses or planes and dumping them in communities around the country; often without any prior notifications to the local elected officials in these communities.

43.   Allowed the TSA to let these children, as well as possible teenage gang members and unidentified to fly in U.S. Airlines at taxpayer expense without proper identification required by Federal law.

44.   Has refused to respond to lawful requests by Governors of the southern Border States to close the Southern border to any further illegal immigration and has created a severe financial crisis for Border States and other states in order to advance his own political agenda.

45.   Has ordered the release of thousands of illegal aliens who have been convicted of serious crimes in the U.S. to be released and stay in the country after they have served their sentences. This violates the requirements of Federal law that such people be immediately deported.

46.   Ordered the immediate release of approximately 68,000 other criminals in Federal prisons that have been convicted of drug offenses. These actions endanger the lives and property of honest and law abiding American citizens that the President is legally and constitutionally required to protect.

47.   Has authorized the IRS, HHS, BATF, DHS, and EPA to propose new regulations not authorized by Congress that will adversely affect the rights of Americans protected by the First, Second, Fourth, and Fifth Amendments to the Constitution.

Read each and every one of these. In some fashion, each is designed to tear at the morality, freedom and liberties, religious or other basic principle this country was founded upon as set in writing and adopted into law by our Founding Fathers.

Even when these are done in the name of the Greater Good, is it? Usually not because it takes from one and gives to another. We have un unsustainable national debt. We have an immoral budget deficit. We went from 2 page to 2000 page laws that no one understands nor reads but continue to be passed by congress. We have judges that refuse to recognize the 10th amendment. We have career politicians that only care about their own power and hanging on to it.

America so far stands not because of government but in spite of it, but that too will soon disappear. Public education is not locally controlled but is union and federal government controlled. Students are being taught with more frequency that government is the answer and government is always right. The “Greater Good” is a concept our children are being brainwashed with.

There is precious little time remaining to reverse this trend. If “WE THE PEOPLE” don’t take our country back soon, we are destined to become to Canada what Mexico is to the United States.

I have repeated these words in every social media available to me since 2007 and have only witnessed America spiraling further and further into oblivion. We have on the 2016 election left to bring America back from what is sure to be a slow and painful death but we must not wait until then to raise our conservative voices. Our vote was our voice earlier this month, now we use our actual voices and continually remind those we just elected why we elected them and why we agreed to send them to Washington while always remember they are public servants – THEY WORK FOR “WE THE PEOPLE”.
