Truth, the Most Misused Word in America

 Al Ritter

Opinion

I think Col Jessup would be correct in this picture.

We are being lied to on a daily basis and they tell us it’s all in the name of truth. They now claim the moral superiority on what they consider to be “disinformation.”

We used to call that discussion or debating but now one side of the conversation is being removed and the government wants to replace with their idea of the truth.

They lied to us about the combination of the Bay of Pigs and also the Cuban Missile Crisis.

They lied to us about the Warren Commission and refuse to release the real documents of the JFK assassination and who was involved. Those documents were due to be released in their entirety in 2017, but has be thwarted by the office of two Presidents.

They lied to us about the 9/11 Commission.

They lied about WMD’s in Iraq.

They lied to us about the withdraw from Afghanistan.

They lied to us about Covid-19 and the vaccines.

They have lied to us about US’s involvement in the Nordstream pipeline bombing.

I could go on all day like this but I think you get the picture. This isn’t just a hit piece on the Biden Administration even though he certainly deserves it, but all recent Presidents.

They all treat us as if they are smarter than we are as though somehow after the election process some greater intelligence is bestowed on them.

They are humans just like we are, they make mistakes like we do, but where the problem lies is they never admit their mistakes. I have never seen an apology come from the Whitehouse except maybe Barack Obama when he apologized for America being a horrible Country, but this is the subject of another article.

The government treats us all like 3 year olds that know nothing so they have to be the adults in the room. WE ARE TOO STUPID TO HANDLE THE TRUTH!

The Government doesn't think we are capable of accepting the truth so they lie instead, very sad!

"truth" is in the eye of the beholder

Didn't lying become legal under a Supreme Court decision?

@ Captain Infinity: Yes it was declared that lying would be legal in campaigns but Presidents and Presidential hopefuls have taken it to a whole new level lying constantly. The case you refer to is Susan B Anthony List v Driehaus https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Susan_B._Anthony_List_v._Driehaus

We want them on that wall. We need them on that wall and we need to bring back firing squads for those who abuse the law.
