Has the NSA Exceeded Its Authority?

Has the NSA Exceeded Its Authority?
Al Ritter

As reported today in a new article by The Guardian from another reported violation by Edward Snowden the NSA whistleblower, some 200 million SMS text messages are being kept in their entirety. Lawmakers have been warily eyeing “metadata” mining for some time as a procedure this is ripe for abuse. Now abuse seems to be relevant to be used in the conversation.

Operation “Dishfire” actually spells out the ENTIRE message, user, and location is recorded into this data logging system. Also stored from these text conversations is financial info and passwords. The possibility for massive abuse is now a reality!

No arguments can now be used claiming that the legality exists but abuse never has. For too long we have traded security for liberty and freedom, and now we see that at 11AM this morning President Obama will be trying to rationalize their behavior and convince that this isn’t the normal operation of the NSA.

The Patriot Act was a bad stop gap method to start these major data collection systems. President actually had an expiration date for the Patriot Act, but President Obama has used that Act to place blame on Bush. Obama could have and should have closed down the Patriot Act but has chosen to abuse this to serve his own purposes.

The Supreme Court doesn’t seem to want to shut this collection down either, but rather to be complicit in the invasion of privacy of our citizens and citizens world-wide. What group in their right minds would give such an authority of trust?

Who is Ruling Us?

Who is Ruling Us?
Ron Boat
As we begin 2014, we look back on years of increased controlling factors that have affected our lives, our income, our savings, and our freedoms. And with January 2014 having arrived, the overbearing weight of BarryCare (ACA) is presenting itself as the one factor that may ultimately bring down the life and lives of Americans.
For those who have been living in a cave for the last 6 years or have not read my words of warning, I’ve said from the beginning that this is a president with an agenda. His own Anti-American background of Marxist/Communist influences, his beliefs of “American colonialism” fostered by his father, and his own Socialistic activities as a lawyer with ACORN and other groups is predominant in his controlling directives over our citizens. Look at his past – look at his actions – look at his appointments.
But what is this government that is increasingly demanding more money in taxes, controlling more of our economy and infrastructure, denying more and more of our God given freedoms and rights? You can take your pick from a plethora of doctrines for in many cases the demarcation is slim at best and randomly cross back and forth over the lines of separation.
We vote. We trust it’s fair and that it means something, but we see little or no results in our elected leaders doing what we thought we elected them to do. There’s been a shift in the way government rules us and that’s disturbing to many. It’s no longer clear about who is doing or responsible for what. And that in itself is a disturbing thought for they are not “rulers” they are elected “servants” of the people.
People think, or want to believe we are a democracy but we’re not, or not supposed to be.

Democracy:

Republic:
Constraints on the government
No; the majority can impose its will on the minority
Yes; the majority cannot take away certain inalienable rights
Sovereignty is held by:
The whole population (as a group)
The people (individuals)
Common confusion in the USE
People commonly confuse direct democracy with representative democracy. The US officially has a representative style, though many have suggested the US is closer to an oligarchy or plutocracy.
The US is actually a Republic,  governed by rule of law. The elected is supposed to be bound by oath to the written governing limits (ie constitution) yet vote "together" and create laws to address concerns of the represented in a democratic way
Definition
Is ruled by the omnipotent majority. In a Democracy, an individual, and any group of individuals composing any minority, have no protection against the unlimited power of the majority. It is a case of Majority-over-Man
A constitutionally limited government, created by a written Constitution--adopted by the people and changeable by them only by its amendment--with its powers divided between three separate branches of government.
History
Originated in Classical Athens
Classical Rome
Famous Examples
Classical Greece, Rome
United States Of America

The U.S. is a mixture of democracy and a republic, but they are two different political animals locked in the same cage. We were conceived as a democratic republic. A form of governance where power is derived from the citizens and executed through elected leaders.  Now we have leaders who create their own power and that’s a dangerous road to travel.
The word “democracy” is not used in our Constitution yet it begins with a democratic statement of “We the people of the United States to ordain and establish this Constitution for the United States of America.” And the only place where the word “republic” is used in in Article IV, Section 4, “The United States shall guarantee to every state in this union a republican form of government.”
James Madison, the architect of the Constitution envisioned control by representatives to overrule factions and demagogues but now our society and government is so controlled by the tyranny of minorities that absolute freedom is becoming a thing of the past.
Add to this the complicity of a national media that refuses the presentation of facts and instead opts for the supportive actions of its chosen few, or the infusion of radicals with socialistic views or foreign influence and we see the destruction, and feel the constraints on our country laid out before us.
Our form of government should be fairly simple but we see the elements of so many failed forms of governance injected to some extent as major or minor parts:
Aristocracy - the head of state is a king of sorts. This philosopher-king does not rule alone, but has classes or categories of people below him, the ones that make up the remainder of his aristocratic state. The auxiliary class or the soldier class of people whose job it is to enforce his law and order, and protect the state from military aggressors. (Obama’s well-armed civilian army? FEMA?) And, the people who are the worker class, who have the right to produce goods and services and trade in them, own property and have the rights of citizens as allowed.
Oligarchy – A form our current administration would like to see. A society is divided into two distinct classes, the rich and the poor. The rich have the reigns of administration in their hands and the poor are the ruled class. They seem to gain their power by promoting concern for the poor while destroying the richer of society and keeping plenty for themselves. Sound familiar?
Tyranny – Tell me this is not what we are current seeing develop in our country, leaning toward the worst form of government – where all power is with one man, a leader who rises from the chaos of democracy, thirsting for power but not having the wisdom or learning to use it wisely. He will merely take advantage of the lawlessness to seize power and rule with an iron fist, often unjustly, (with Holder?) and the populace will fear and loathe him but remain helpless. The tyrant will spend his time wasting the vast volume of his ill-gotten wealth, living under constant threat of assassination or rebellion.
And we see tinges of Dictatorship - A system of government with one individual who is in absolute control of the nation, he effectively dictates terms to it. Dictators can usurp power in military or populist coups, or be elected to office by the people under a different form of government and then wrest power. The best example in modern times is the dictatorship of Adolf Hitler over Nazi Germany. Offering “Hoppe and Change” in a troubled time is an ideal method of gaining the trust and support of the less fortunate, the downtrodden, the huddled illiterate masses longing to be taken care of by the government and the rich.

We see elements of Fascism - This form is highlighted by the propaganda of nationalism and patriotic pride, ruled by a single leader who is part of a larger group of individuals who adhere to a common philosophy. Fascism relies heavily on nationalistic sentiment to bring the people under subjugation and repress their freedoms. Italy under the dictator Benito Mussolini was a fascist state. (And again, see the final thoughts under dictatorship)
And we’ll also see certain fundamentals of Constitutional Monarchy - where the powers and the rights of the leader are limited to a certain extent by a formally adopted constitution. Examples in the modern world are Japan, New Zealand and Denmark among several others. Or a Federal Monarchy - A federation of states which have different heads of state (or governors) but are in turn ruled by one single leader who is the head of the entire federation. Examples are the Kingdom of Belgium and the Kingdom of Spain, though they are not so named.

While we have not entered the world of complete fascism or dictator rule, we can see how certain characteristics are creeping more and more into our daily existence from the definitions listed above. Characteristics that are NOT good, NOT part of our American way of life and NOT an acceptable part of our founding fathers conceived beliefs and basis of our new and free country.
They came to this country to be free from tyranny, and though they believed heavily in God and a higher power, they wanted a country free from religious rule. It’s the power of the individual they proclaimed as the ruler.
America grew to be the best, most free, most powerful country on earth because of our uniqueness, our difference, our love of individualism, capitalism and achievement. But when you move toward the rule of a dictator, a tyrant, a Socialist, you return us to the level of failed governments the world over who have always placed 2nd and not been able to compete with what makes us…us.
Think back to the changes you’ve seen. Think back on the loss of rights and freedoms to both persons and businesses. Think about increased control, taxes, regulations in all the areas of your life from healthcare to light bulbs, increased cost of utilities and goods to your use of salt or the size of your soda. Think about their increased efforts to reduce or eliminate your 2nd amendment rights and what’s next – constraints on property ownership or travel?
Look at the disregarding or outright acceptance of certain crimes, the growing sanctioning of drug use through changes in drug laws or the increasing recognition of social behaviors such as gay marriage, all in the name of “acceptance.” Do these changes signal a decline, even the demise of American society in your mind? These are social issues related to our morals and mores all accepted, controlled or even promoted by… our changing government.
The lines and definitions cross back and forth between forms of government, politics and economics. All play a part in the declining, sustaining or growth of our country. Both parties have been participatory in this decline of America but the liberal, progressive beliefs of the left are the most damaging to our future.
2014 MUST be our time to take back our country, to regain control of our own destiny, to tell our representatives that we are alive – and we’re aware – and “we’re mad as hell and not taking it anymore.”
My suggestions is that hundreds of thousands, yea millions of us need to make daily or at the least weekly calls, send emails or faxes to contact our representatives, & senators, and give them the message that change is coming. We need to “change or change out” our leaders in ’14.
God help us-- and the total number of words contained here? 1776.

Dear Patriots:

Dear Patriots:
William Grant Burmer
As we approach a New Year I find that I cannot rest without expressing how blessed we should all feel to be able to call ourselves Americans . . . still.
If I may be so bold, America stands upon the brink of total annihilation of all our God Given Liberties. Sadly there exists a systematic destruction taking place right under our noses of all the principles which have, in the past made us a great nation and a blessed people. We are allowing a minority in congress and a majority in the Senate and the Chief Executive to assist in this effort. They must be stopped or America risks becoming not unlike any other dictatorial power in the world.
The Solutions to our problem are simple, we must make our representatives at all levels of government adhere to Constitutional principles of small government, and the Ten Commandments.
When George Washington was elected our first President and after being administered the Oath of Office, with his hand still upon the Bible he added "so help me God." William Livingston, Chancellor of New York who administered the oath shouted "Long live George Washington, President of the United States!" and the People responded "God Bless our President!"
There after Washington read his inaugural address within the Senate Chambers of Federal Hall. At that time the people were denied hearing his address in a public forum but were later made privy to the written word.
The new President had but one specific suggestion for the first congress and that was his undeviating faith in God and the imperative need for national reliance on goodness and truth. A clear plea was given to carefully avoid every alteration of the Constitution that the rights of the People might be secured.
Later Washington was heard to express his nagging feelings of inadequacy to his calling, and had but one solid foundation on which to stand: Said He "The Constitution of the United States, and the laws made under it, must mark the line of my official conduct." He thus set a precedent for his successors, but also a not so subtle mandate for all elected officials to adhere to.
Another concern of the President was that of arguments, or squabbles between the Federalist and Republican Parties. He feared the opposing philosophies of political ideology and its destructive influences upon those affiliated with them. It would in his opinion lead to a "frightful despotism." Washington then emphasized the need for morality in government.
A familiar ring or deafening tone might be affecting your senses as you have read thus far. Two months after Washington published his farewell address, standing before Congress he said: "I cannot omit the occasion to congratulate you and my country on the success of the experiment," nor to repeat my fervent supplications to the Supreme Ruler of the Universe and Sovereign Arbiter of nations that his Providential care may still be extended to the United Sates, that the virtue and happiness of the people may be preserved, and that the government which they have instituted for the protection of their liberties may be perpetual."
He worried over continuing partisan dependent attitudes of many of Americas citizens who aligned themselves with foreign powers or English politics. he Said "if our citizens . . . instead of being Frenchmen or Englishmen . . . would be Americans, America could prosper even in the face of confrontations with France and Continuing tensions with England."
Washington died December 14, 1799 at age 67 at his home in Mt Vernon. Virginia Governor Henry Lee uttered the most lasting tribute ever given at the time: "First in war, first in peace, and first n the hearts of his countrymen."
Thomas Jefferson later wrote of Washington saying: "The soundness of his judgment gave him correct views of the rights of man, and his severe justice devoted him to them. He has often declared to me that he considered our new Constitution as an experiment on the practicability of republican government, and with what dose of liberty man could be trusted for his own good; that he was determined the experiment should have a fair trial, and would lose the last drop of his blood in support of it." Jefferson went on to say "I felt on his death, with my countrymen, that verily a great man hath fallen this day in Israel."
I long for the day that we can return to a time when we have a President whose faith rests with God, a Senate and a Congress composed of a mighty majority who love America, its' founders and traditions. Those who would be devoted to preserving American liberty and the Constitution---before self.
All of my quotes have come from the book The Real George Washington Volume 3 National Center for Constitutional Studies.

Obama Personally Responsible For the Death of 50 People?

Obama Personally Responsible For the Death of 50 People?
Al Ritter

A railway fire in Casselton North Dakota renews the political controversy on the Keystone Pipeline. The 2013 Lac-Megantic rail fire that killed 50 people in Quebec was the first fatal accident caused by the transportation of shale oil by rail car rather than the Keystone pipeline. President Obama continues to balk at the proposed routes forcing additional amounts to be sent by rail.

Rail shipments are due to increase by an additional 30% in 2014 over the 2013 figures. Increased traffic always increases the possibility for accidents as witnessed today in the Casselton fire which has caused an ecological spill as well as a massive fire that caused the evacuation of most of the city.

Although environmental groups have fought the Keystone pipeline because of safety issues, they generally ignore the fact that transportation by pipeline is far safer than transporting it by rail. Obama has used the strong arm tactics of the EPA as his enforcement division to force transportation to the rails.

If the transportation of shale oil is so much safer by pipeline than by rail……why does it continue?

Canadian Ambassador Doer observes that Obama's "choice is to have it come down by a pipeline that he approves, or without his approval, it comes down on trains." Seems to say it all doesn’t it? But the Question remains….WHY?

One has to follow the money trail to understand why. BNSF Railways is owned by Berkshire Hathaway owned by Warren Buffet a large campaign financier to the Democratic Party and Barack Obama specifically. On the other hand Koch Industries has a rather large stake in the Keystone Pipeline. The Koch Brothers are large donators to the RNC, and therein is where the politics plays a role in this much needed pipeline.

The question now that begs to be asked…..Is Obama personally responsible for the deaths of 50 people in Canada, and possibly more in the future if rail shipments increase? Canadian journalist Diana Furchtgott-Roth commented: "If this oil shipment had been carried through pipelines, instead of rail, families in Lac-Mégantic would not be grieving for lost loved ones today, and oil would not be polluting Lac Mégantic and the Chaudière River."

Closing In on Milestones!

Closing In on Milestones!
Al Ritter

Well folks, like Kevin said in his last article, we are closing out yet another at Al’s political view, and I thought I’d share with you a little insight to the website. In March we will mark our 6th year! that’s not the real picture though!

I started in 2008 because of Al Gore and his attack on the American people in the way of carbon foot print taxes. Fortunately we have sidestepped his attack and even the UN has lost their credibility on the issue, hopefully Obama’s push on Man-made Global warming will fall flat on its face too.

After starting my own blog in 2008 I also started writing for examiner.com in 2009. After I year they attempted to censor me and shortly after I stopped my association with them. Oddly enough my resignation article from the Examiner has been one of my most popular articles. Between both writing venues I have published over 1500 articles in the 6 years.

Verizon is my server and some people have requested that I place links to my individual articles, and although that would be nice, Verizon in their infinite wisdom views that as spam and kicks out any article with links. With that being said let’s give this another try als political view dot blog spot dot com is the website just delete all the spaces and add the dots where needed….lol.

Now let me give you a rundown on our history and readership. Of course the good ol’ USA is our biggest readership, but the next countries in line may surprise you. I recently added a language translator to the site to make it easier for our fans to read our opinions. Second place in the countries that read our blog is Russia, followed by Germany, France, Poland, United Kingdom, Netherlands, and the Ukraine.

With these articles comes a huge responsibility to report facts and not just opinions so I have always prided myself and my fellow writers with presenting those facts in easy to read and concise articles.

Now onto the most popular articles in first place was an article entitled “Obama wants to microchip everyone like a dog!” followed by “To those considering writing for the Examiner.com, read this first!” then “Differences in a Republic and Democracy According to Madison” then “Who are we at War with Mr. President?” then rounding out the top 5 “Ron Investigates the Idea of Taxes – An Oppressive Factor.”

Now onto our viewer’s operating systems, I found this interesting……not #1 of course which is Windows @ 81% followed by Linux @ 5% then Macintosh @ 5%, then iPhone @ 2% and iPad @ 1% all others were less than 1%. The top browsers in order were Internet Explorer, Firefox, Chrome, and Opera.

Our traffic sources vary from time to time, mainly because of all our RSS feeds. Recently I left Facebook because of privacy issues and Mark Zuckerberg’s need to hand over my personal information to the Obama administration without so much as a warrant. I have however moved over to the Tea Party Community and would invite anyone to join me.

I want to thank my co-writers Kevin Bryant, William (Grant) Burmer, and Ron Boat, their writing has been superb! I‘d be the first to admit I couldn’t do it without them! Hopefully 2014 will be a turning point for our country, I’d love to see the Republican’s take a few more seats in the Senate and the House.

I want to thank all of our readers the most, because without ears, a mouth can’t survive on it own!

Cheers!.......see ya all in 2014!

Closing The Books On 2013

Closing The Books On 2013
Kevin Bryant

WOW, what a year 2013 was. Thanks to Eric Snowden, we have discovered just how much our government has been spying on its citizens and to what extent they have been spying on our allies. We have discovered just how politically left Pope Francis is. We have the seen the beginning implementations of Obamacare and gotten a glimpse into just how messed up the law really is. We have witnessed a steady stream of lies committed by President Obama and his administration to congress and the people of this great nation. We have witnessed the greatest demoralization of our military by a single Commander –in- Chief than the first 43 CiC’s combined, and I thought Clinton was bad when I served.

Yes, 2013 will go into the record books as another failed year for our government and our nation despite all the great things we have witnessed over the past year by the average citizens of this country. The war between the private sector and the government resembles a country line dance only the line (private sector America), after taking two steps forward, they are forced to take three steps back and they are about out of dance floor. I just hope the private sector doesn’t run out of dance floor before January 23, 2017.

We have seen record numbers of illegals coming into the country despite the DHS’s attempt to minimize the real number. We have also seen record numbers of Americans packing up and moving out of this country because America is no longer the world leader for freedoms and liberty. If it were a viable option, I would have joined them. Yes, 2013 was my breaking point in having faith in America and our way of life. BUT……….

November and December 2013 has been a little different in the way I view America and her future. Sure, we still have more government corruption now than during the Lyndon Johnson, Richard Nixon era. We still have a nation divided along every line imaginable thanks to our Divider-in-Chief, but these past few weeks mainstream America has pushed back. In record numbers, younger Americans have come to the realization that we cannot continue to borrow and spend. We cannot allow our government to dictate how we think. We cannot allow our government to attempt to rewrite the constitution by enacting laws and executive orders contrary to our own beliefs and our the wellbeing of our nation.

Younger America is starting to get it. Younger America feels the pain of 16% REAL unemployment. They feel the crunch of 12% REAL inflation. They understand now what the future holds for them if we continue to add trillions every year to the national debt. They have come to the realization that the politicians of the past 4 generations have really screwed them financially which in turn screws America financially and it is Younger America wanting to discuss REAL solutions to our national problems.

In 2014 and 2016 there are no charismatic and electrifying politicians like Obama and Bill Clinton to draw the “Uninformed Voter” to the polls. Oh, I know we will have massive voter fraud favoring democrats in both elections but I for one an optimistic about all the illegal votes being cast being not being enough to get past the hurdle of the “had enough” Younger America vote. Will 2014 bring forth a shift of power in Washington DC, no. The GOP/TEA PARTY will likely only pick up 3 seats in the senate but it will serve as notice to those who have supported the president at all cost whose seats are up in 2016. I am optimistic that Obama will become the very definition of a “lame duck” president in his last 2 years.

The past few months we have also witnessed a shift in the judicial rulings. A once cocky and confident Obama administration has been met with a growing number of judicial rulings against this administration as well as some against the actions of the president himself. These have not been just Bush 41 & 43 appointed judges, but more of the Clinton appointed judges are starting to make rulings based more on the law and less on personal political opinion.

Overall, 2013 was a bust, just as 2012 & 2011. We still have the McCain RINO faction in the senate and the Boehner RINO faction in the house but I believe we will see their power diminish in 2014 as Younger America gets involved and work to elect real congressional conservatives to office.

Did I Offend You?

Did I Offend You?
Kevin Bryant

Are you offended by the saying “Merry Christmas”? Does the name “Washington Redskins” irritate you? Are you like the MSNBC commentator and get upset when you hear the term “Obamacare’ because you think it is racist? Do you get mad when your child is not picked for a team during recess? Are you outraged over organized youth athletic groups that do not give out participation awards to everyone and actually allow teams to win and lose? Guess what. I DON’T CARE.

If your child can’t do grade level work in school, it’s not the job of the school district to lower the standards just because you have a slower learning child. What is worse, holding a child back a year in school to allow them the opportunity to actually learn or just pass them along and ensure when they get out of school they only qualify to work at a fast food franchise.

Southerners fly the confederate flag; they place them on their vehicles, in their home windows and even paint them on almost everything. Contrary to the masses out there that does not know American history, the confederate flag in NOT a racist symbol. It has absolutely nothing to do with skin color. It’s all about State’s Rights, Individual Freedoms and Southern Pride. It’s difficult for those raised in rust belt or the New England states or even those out west to understand Southern Pride. I’m not going to try and explain it because those from the south already know what it is and those not from the south lack the comprehension to fully grasp the fact that it is a way of life that we are born and bred into.

And since it is the Christmas season, what gives atheist the right to be offended by the idea of Christmas Trees, Christmas Carols, Nativity Scenes and the traditional Merry Christmas greeting. What happened to my right of expression? What happened to idea of a city council majority rule? Do you really know who is offended by all this? We The People are offended. We The People are being trampled by certain minority organizations who believe they are right, whether it’s about Christianity, Child Raising, Offensive Scenery or Statements.

I’m sick and tired of Christian bashing, Freedom of Speech bashing, Freedom of Expression bashing, Gun Owner bashing, State’s Right bashing, bashing and labeling me a racist just because I am white and from the south. I have had it. I give hypocrites as much crap and grief as they give me. An atheist told me my Christian views were based on a need of dependency, I told him to enjoy burning in hell. People think is it wrong of me to own firearms because they kill people but will not allow me to place a sign in their yard declaring it a gun free zone. Whiners, Criers & Hypocrites….. I am sick of them all and if my beliefs and treating them equal to how they treat me offend them…… I DON’T CARE.

Dear Patriots:

Dear Patriots:
William G Burmer
I love the old Turner Classic Movies. Yesterday I watched Jimmy Stewart as "Meet John Doe." A story for our time if ever there were one. A story about all the John Doe's (today it would be the "Tea Party" folks) united to support and help one another get off the dole and be valued as voters who would change party politics and restore Constitutional Principle.
In the end it actually worked in the movie version. Today it really is up to us to restore the Constitution and bring power back to the People to whom it actually belongs. I'm an idealist, I will admit, but with a large dose of optimism in my heart and soul, I know we can succeed. It is perfectly obvious to the rank and file Tea Party person that things are terribly out of whack in Washington DC. We need to start firing a whole lot of politicians and supporting people like Ted Cruz, Rand Paul and others like them.
The communist politicians currently reigning tyranny in the House and Senate need to be replaced and we are the key to seeing to it that it happens during 2014 AND 2016.
Obama is indeed the worst thing that has ever happened to our country. I don't care what his supporters might throw back at us such as being racist. It is a tired worn out old tactic that simply flies in the face of reason and fact. Personally I would not care what color the president is, there are plenty of good, honorable African-Americans I would readily support other than him. The most important ingredient missing at the moment in time is someone who loves America, all of its heritage and sacred principles of law which have drawn, and even now, in the worst of circumstances, continues to draw people from around the world to our shores. Why?, because of our traditions, hope remains.
America and its people are good, they love their country, they love God, and they will not allow anyone or anything to take their liberty away. They know with an abiding faith that God is on their side. Our founders proved it so, testified to it, and died for it. We can do no less.
Our society is not held together primarily by law and its enforcement, but most importantly by those (you and I) who voluntarily obey the unenforceable, those norms internalized by Godly behavior. Religious belief in right and wrong is our influence, that which produces voluntary compliance by most of Americas citizens.
Our victories no matter how small or great depend upon our individual commitment to love God and obey his laws. George Washington spoke of this reality when he said, "Of all the dispositions and habits which lead to political prosperity, religion and morality are indispensable supports,' Reason and experience both forbid us to expect that national morality can prevail in exclusion of religious principle."
I say, Amen.

Obamacare Stealing Money from Your Bank Account!

Obamacare Stealing Money from Your Bank Account!
Al Ritter

Does it matter if the theft comes from State or Federal Government? Washington State Obamacare Exchange has now been accused of double billing, removal of funds before approved dates, all before Christmas!

It doesn’t really matter if it is a State run exchange or a Federal website, the fact remains that all these exchanges are a direct result of the “Affordable Care Act.” Even President Obama has now chosen to distance himself from the rapidly disintegrating healthcare act that his Administration itself had constructed. He no longer wants his name attached to it.

On another note Politifact.com a well-known left leaning fact checking site has now declared Obama’s claim to sell his Affordable Care Act…. “if you like your plan, you can keep your plan” as 2013’s biggest lie!

Foolishness of the War in Afghanistan

Foolishness of the War in Afghanistan
Al Ritter

It seems funny and ironic all at once that we are fighting the longest war in US History, and yet nobody seems to be up in arms about the cost in dollars or human life anymore. Being in a foreign land fighting Islamic fundamentalists seems to be ok now that there is a Democratic President and Senate.

In 1980 things were very different; we had just elected Ronald Reagan to replace a kowtowing Jimmy Carter. Carter was certainly no stranger to Islamic regimes he was held victim to Iran for over 300 days of hostage taking by the religious regime of Iran. It was only through fear and respect for Ronald Reagan that those hostages were released the very day of his inauguration.

Although Reagan was in favor of a stronger military and knew of the dangers of increasing radicalization by Muslim countries, he also knew of the dangers of communism. He saw the invasion of Afghanistan in 1979 by the USSR. He was against such strong arm tactics and as a result USA boycotted the 1980 Summer Olympics because of this invasion. The Reagan Administration quietly commented about the USSR’s invasion as being their version of Vietnam.

Eventually unable to acquire a clear set victory because of guerilla warfare tactics the Russians pulled out of Afghanistan in 1989 ending their 10 war with no clear victor.

The attack of 9/11 has plunged us into the same quagmire as Vietnam. The time line of American involvement in Vietnam started in the early 1960’s with Americans in strict “advisory roles.” 1965 the first Marines were sent to Nam and in 1973 the cease fire was signed. 8 years was our total involvement start to finish. It seems history taught us nothing.

We have now been in Afghanistan two more years than the USSR was there, and 4 more years than we were in Vietnam, and still there is no end in sight.

Where are all the hippies of the 70’s that waged the protests against war? Where are all the democrats that claimed a no war stance as their moral high ground? Where are all the hateful groups that held our military in disgrace over what they referred to as an immoral war and labeled then as “baby killers” and “murderers”?

I have your answer America; we have promoted those traitors to high cabinet positions, and other appointments that direct drone attacks from the sky at the push of a button.

Millennials Would Vote Today To "Recall Obama"

Millennials Would Vote Today To “Recall Obama”
Al Ritter

Not that Harvard students represent the overall mindset of America’s youth, but a recent poll shows the 18-24 year voters in Harvard University shows their disenchantment with their “Commander-in chief.”

Sixty one percent of the students don’t approve of how Obama is handling the whole healthcare issue. Similarly Congress didn’t fare much better, the students voted 51% to have all Congressional members removed from office!

Support of one of the main groups (18-24) that got Obama elected has slipped 11% in just one year. The older groups are still following Obama but even their support of the President is waning.

The 18-24 group is also not very happy with Obama in general as disapprove of his handling on the economy, Syria, Iran, and the Federal Budget.

Of course I find it funny that these students would support a “recall” vote on Obama’s presidency and a removal of the entire Congress even though no such thing exists under current law. Hopefully the question was prefaced by “if legally possible” would you vote to……..

Obviously their displeasure has taken root and even the number of registered democrats in that 18-24 group is falling, not expressly to the Republican Party but listed as Independents.

This isn’t particularly ground shaking news but it does represent a trend.

Republicans Need to Stand Up to Conservatives?

Republicans Need to Stand Up to Conservatives?
Al Ritter

Senator Mitch McConnell (R-KY) seems to think that “Conservatives” are giving conservatism a bad name!

If you need to read that sentence over, now would be a good time. Sen. McConnell obviously thinks he IS a conservative, and sees a challenge by a Tea Party candidate Matt Bevin as an invasion of his personal “good ol’ boys” network of moderate republican senators.

It seems funny to me that the Tea Party is under represented in both the House and Senate, and yet the citizens who consider themselves “republicans” more closely associate themselves as having Tea Party traits rather than moderate republican traits 51% to 49%.

“There were people who were basically afraid of conservatives, frankly,” McConnell said. “It’s time for people to stand up to this sort of thing.”

If Mitch McConnell actually believes what he said this week it would appear that this could be the election he loses his Senate seat, and sadly he would rather cling to his antiquated idea of the party and lose the election rather than mold his views to a new republican party that more closely mirrors the values of the old republican party of the past.

The real question is; Is Matt Bevin dynamic enough to come forth as a powerful voice of the Tea Party, or will Sen. McConnell’s Democratic challenger Alison Lundergan Grimes overcome her one point polling deficit (40-39)?

In the words of Hillary Clinton……..if given the choice between a Democrat or a moderate Republican

“What difference does it make?”

Dear Patriots: "The Affordable Care Act", AKA "ACA" AKA "OBAMA CARE" is an unconstitutional act for the following reasons:

Dear Patriots: "The Affordable Care Act", AKA "ACA" AKA "OBAMA CARE" is an unconstitutional act for the following reasons:
William G Burmer

While Supreme Court Justice Roberts was correct by saying the "ACA" is a tax under Section 8 of the Constitution; most importantly, perhaps intentionally, he failed to acknowledge the following:

(a)THE BILL DID NOT ORIGINATE IN THE HOUSE as required in Article 1, Section7 of the Constitution. "All Bills for raising revenue shall originate in the house of Representatives."

(b) Not one representative regardless of Party affiliation voted Yea or Nay in the House. Sec 7 ¶ 2 ". . .if approved by two thirds of the House, it (the Bill) shall become a Law." "But (and the "But" comes directly after the word "Law.") in all such Cases the Votes of both Houses shall be determined by Yeas and Nays,

(C) Perhaps just as importantly in the same paragraph continuing-- and the Names of the Persons voting for and against the Bill shall be entered on the Journal of each House respectively." This part of the act was not completed. Matter of fact we have the House members personally, publically confessing it over and over again, in the past and in the present.

(d) Finally, speaking from a common sense prospective, neither the Senate, nor the House are granted any authority under the Constitution to Legislate Health Care, IE under the guise of a tax, or any other form. Nancy Pelosi and others not only have violated their Oath of Office but in addition have personally discredited any character they might have possessed by creating this debacle; and then forcing it upon the People of the United States of America.

No matter how benevolent their cause might appear, or was made to appear by those in the Senate, their real agenda was, and still is, Power over We the People. Not only is their agenda Unconstitutional, it is nothing less than an attempt to overthrow our Constitution and institute a Communist tyranny as a substitute, I will add, with the aid and support of the IRS.

All ( people in the private sector included) who support this Bill (ACA), be they Public officials in the Congress, State, County and Cities of our Nation, have not only violated their Oath of office, they should be tried for Treason against our Nation. Thereafter they should be branded forever as traitors and tyrants such as Mussolini, Hitler, and Stalin. I cannot use words strong enough to voice my utter contempt for these officials' and others who believe this is a good thing. As for the liars, President Obama, and his abettors, I have a personal testimony that they shall be "thrust down to hell." I know Muslims don't like it, but we are a Christian Nation, so bug off.

I will conclude my remarks by quoting Our First President in part "I shall take my present leave; but not without resorting once more to the benign Parent of the human race, in humble supplication, . . . on which the success of this government must depend." emphasis added.

Christian Personal Accountability

Christian Personal Accountability
Kevin Bryant

Personal Accountability in the United States has reached JOKE proportion. Today it seems there is no such thing as personal accountability for anything. If we eat at McDonald’s 10 times a week and we get fat, it’s McDonald’s fault. If we smoke 2 packs of cigarettes a day and get lung cancer, it the cigarette manufacturer’s fault. If we go to a bar and get drunk and have an accident driving home, it’s the bar’s fault. Anyone starting to see a pattern here?

Same is true of government. If we fail to plan for the future, it’s the government’s responsibility to provide. If we fail to finish High School, it’s the government’s job to make employers pay wages above the minimums set by law. If after paying for a cell phone, rent-a center bill, cable bill, $35,000 car, hair dresser, liquor store and pizza delivery, we don’t have money for groceries, it’s government’s job to provide.

Look around, personal accountability is all but gone in America. Much of it fueled by political pandering.

There is another form of personal accountability that is almost completely gone in America. It’s our personal accountability to our children, our neighbors, our community and our God as we know him/her.

How does someone call themselves a Christian on Sunday, sit and listen to sermons and teachings of responsibility and then on Monday through Saturday only think about themselves and how they can get more from others without having to do anything to get it.

We have all heard the story of Jesus saying: “Give a man a fish and he will eat for a day……..”. Well for many, the story stops right there. GIVE ME MY FISH. They don’t want to be self sufficient. They don’t want to work hard and worst of all they are not thankful for the charity of others nor do they desire to be better for themselves or their families. They believe it is owed to them. Then they care not about their neighbors, their own children’s future, the community which they live. GIVE ME MY FISH. So what if the money spent to give them their fish every day could have bought new books for the school or paid for a school meal of a neighbors child who’s parents work every day for minimum wage at the only job they could get. So what if taxes has to be raised so they can get their daily fish driving many tax payers and businesses out of the community. They don’t care but on Sunday they will right there in church with their neighbors listening to stories of how God helps those who help themselves and telling stories of their own examples of Christian charity work, but come Monday….. GIVE ME MY FISH.

"Let each citizen remember at the moment he is offering his vote that ... he is executing one of the most solemn trusts in human society for which he is accountable to God and his country." --Samuel Adams

Where in the bible does it say soak the rich with higher taxes for I don’t have to learn how to fish? Where in the bibles does it say it’s not a parents responsibility to teach their children? Where in the bible does it say do only that which benefits you, forsaking others? Where in the bible does it say government is responsible for you, not to you?

Rights are granted by God, not government. Nowhere in the bible does it teach a cell phone is a right, healthcare is a right, lobster and steak is a right, a vehicle is a right, a high paying job is a right, an HD flat screen television is a right. Every one of these suck out money that could go towards betterment of communities, help families that want to better themselves..... BUT HELL NO...... JUST GIVE ME MY FISH, it's my right.

In the end, we are accountable. We are accountable to our God as we know him and we are accountable for EVERYTHING.

Why Obama Lied About Keeping Your Health Insurance

Why Obama Lied About Keeping Your Health Insurance
Al Ritter

As a Marylander, I have experience in knowing what the term “mandates” means. Maryland is a state with the second highest healthcare mandates in the nation. Before Obamacare we had 66 healthcare mandates. In other words for an insurance company to do business in the state of Maryland they MUST cover 66 issues that the legislature sees as the basic minimum. As a result Maryland’s health insurance is some of the costliest in the nation.

Healthcare mandates were set up prior to Obamacare by individual states, not the federal government. Remember before the debate on Obamacare people were arguing about how they wanted to buy healthcare across state lines? At that time that was a physical impossibility because each state had control of their own healthcare within their state’s boundaries. They enjoyed this freedom because of the Constitution. Any power not mentioned in the Constitution reverts back to the states.

Any states with an overbearing amount of healthcare mandates will probably not see the large increase in premiums that other states will. It stands to reason that the more things that are mandated, the more the premiums will increase. In an effort to keep the government cost lower, they are attaching EXTREME deductibles to many of these policies which in turn, reduces the quality and quantity of healthcare. The result of the “Affordable Healthcare Act,” is that any policy you would receive under this directive will be neither “affordable” nor will it be “healthcare” as you have had in the past. Obama will deem what mandates you are required to carry not you! The government always knows best!

I feel that the administration will attempt to blend Obamacare, Medicare, and Medicaid into one large single payer system before the end of Obama’s term, this has been his aim and the Senate’s aim from day one, and I think he has a good foot hold to do so unless Obamacare falls apart under it's own weight first.

Because Chief Justice Roberts declared the Affordable Healthcare Act a “tax” the Obama Administration has now enacted national mandates on healthcare “labeled” as rules and regulations, thus removing state sovereignty through rules. This is merely an end run around the Constitution.

Democrats have learned well from this ruling, and have instituted many violations of the Constitution so far under the guise of rules and regulations. A classic example of this has been shown in the EPA with its massive rule changes and replacing common sense rules with eco terrorism by executive fiat. Long gone are the days the delicate balance of rules vs. company profit. More actions will be taken in the next 3 years by the democrats to push societal change by rules rather than by vote, and it will continue until lawmakers fight back and say no!
