Vernacular……aka Ebonics

To be honest I’m damned well tired of this crap on
click bait articles. They try to tell my generation that they invented
recycling that they we are the “waste” generation. Now they are blaming the
“Boomer generation” for all their shortcomings.
“Boomers” need to stop doing this, is the title of their article. They comment on
clothing styles to political stances to even train of thought.
The same generation that accepts ear gauges, full
tattoos and the ghetto vernacular criticizes New Balance sneakers and Jean
shorts for Boomer males?
Really Millenials?
Maybe you should revaluate your acceptance.
What exactly do ear gauges, tattoos, and man buns
contribute to society?
But let’s get back to the issue at hand.
Let’s view our language from the view of someone
learning English as a second language.
Can you even begin to imagine the confusion of trying
to understand the English Language if they hear Gangster Rap or any of the
other Ebonic language?
Sadly it teaches the rest of the civilized world that
the USA is dumbing down.
The Ebonic/Ghetto talk doesn’t advance the English
language it only sets it back 50 to 100 years.
If the Millenials accept this vernacular it only
cements the idea that they accept it because they # 1 see it as a cultural
acceptance or #2 as they are afraid to not accept it because of being afraid of
being labeled as a racist!
I’m not sure what the world sees this as but I see it
as the dumbing down of America.
Ebonics isn’t a dialect, this isn’t pigeon English or
even a variant of English it’s an abortion of the English language. It doesn’t
make you sound cool or “woke” it makes you sound uneducated.
