12 Days

12 DAYS
Kevin Bryant

12 days from me writing this, the general election will be in full swing. Myself, and I hope each and every person reading this will cast their vote for the next President of the United States. For regular old fashion conservatives like me, the choice is clear as to which candidate to vote for. For those new to the conservative world, thanks is great part by the actions of the current administration, realize we cannot and must not remain on the path we are currently going down, so too the choice is clear.

What I doubt will happen, but is possible, those grassroots conservatives (Tea Party) who are unhappy with the choice of the GOP candidate, may decide to stay home because not voting for Romney may override their passion to oust Barack Obama. All those I know that are conservative by nature but are unhappy with Romney as a candidate, I have tried my best to persuade them to go and cast their votes. Unfortunately, I fear my daughter and her boyfriend still feel as though it’s not worth their time to vote though they both have felt Obama’s worsening economy hit their household.

Romney may be in the lead but with 12 days to go anything can happen. We all know Obama doesn’t play by the unofficial conventional rules as all have played by for centuries. In 2007-2008 and even more so in 2012, we have witnessed the most disgusting, mean spirited campaigns waged against Hillary Clinton and Mitt Romney. Lies after lies have been told by Obama and his campaign and administrative staffs for 5 years now. Almost all those lies have been hailed as truth by many in the mainstream media. Lies that have millions of seniors believing the GOP wants to end their Medicare and Social Security. Lies that have millions of young adults (and those soon to be young adults) believing the federal government is the answer for everything and to move America forward, even more power must be taken away from the states and the population as a while for the betterment of the country and create one central power.

If this race was taking place not in 2012 but in 1972, Obama would lose this election worse than George McGovern did. If this race was taking place in 1984 instead of today, Obama would lose and likely not even win that one lone state like Michael Dukakis did. McGovern was a good and honorable man when he was alive and Dukakis still is a good and honorable man. They didn’t lose because of who they were; they lost because of their ideas for the future of America. If Obama wins this election, it’s not because of his vision for America. If Obama wins, it’s because there are not enough independent, free thinking Americans left who have not made up their minds to realize America can’t afford 4 more years of Obama.

Talk to your kids. If you can convince them that Romney is the better choice, Romney will stand a good chance of becoming our 45th President and we won’t have to wait until 2016 see #45. If you can convince your kids, grandkids, nieces and nephews that Romney is a better choice for America, each one of them stand a good chance of convincing another young adult not to vote for Obama, but vote for their own futures. Those disgruntled grassroots conservatives too may be persuaded to vote by you or perhaps your kids and grandkids. Anything is possible.

12 days until the election. I still don’t feel secure in a Romney victory and neither should any of you.

Dear Patriots

Dear Patriots:
William G Burmer

RE: Fair Share.

When we hear the often quoted term “Fair Share” by much of the media and our politicians our immediate reaction is that they are referring to the “Have” and Have-nots,” or the Rich vs. Poor. This is a programmed response for us to be sure as it relates to our current political climate.

During World War II the term was attached to the need for rationing. No one, regardless of ability, could just walk into a shop and buy as much sugar, butter, or meat as you wanted, nor could you fill up your car with gasoline whenever you liked. The government introduced rationing because certain things were in short supply during the war, and rationing was the only way to make sure everyone got their “Fair Share,” as it was called at that time.

I looked the term up in the dictionary just for fun and discovered, as you might deduce that like any other term or word, its definition would depend upon what situation or condition it is used. OK. As you are aware the leftist politicians and media alike use the term to divide “We the People” as to how much we all pay in taxes under our current unconstitutional system

Let’s review the constitution Article 1, Section 8, clause 1. “The Congress shall have Power To lay and collect taxes, Duties, Imposts and Excises. . .” and in Section 9 clause 4, “No Capitation, or other direct, tax shall be laid unless in Proportion to the Census or Enumeration herein before directed to be taken.”

Be aware that the Congress is governed by delegated constitutionally authority to deal only with foreign nations which happens also to include Indian Tribes as they issue Tariffs , Duties and Excises charged on goods entering the individual States.

These two sections of the Constitution guaranteed the Sovereignty of the American Citizen from having to pay capitation or direct taxes. Taxes upon the Sovereign American Citizen were made indirect and the amount was determined by the Census. All Citizens regardless of personal wealth thus paid their “Fair Share” and nothing more.

Politicians would argue quite convincingly that Clause 4 of Section 9 was obliterated by the 16th Amendment, however, history correctly records that of the 35 states that supposedly ratified the amendment Most all failed to do so in its proper form, or it was not signed by the Governor, or both. History also records that Philander Knox knowingly and fraudulently certified that the 16th amendment was properly ratified February 25th 1913. He effectively terminated on paper the Peoples sovereignty, making them subjects of the very Government they created; turning the constitution figuratively, on its head.

It is also a historical fact that the Supreme Court has ruled in two different cases that the people retained their rights to sovereignty in 1886 by saying “Sovereignty itself is, of course, not subject to law. For it is the author and source of the law; but in our system, while sovereign powers are delegated to the agencies of government, sovereignty itself remains with the people, by whom and for whom all government exists and acts. And the law is the definition and limitation of power.” (The Supreme Law of the Land is the Constitution.)

In (1895), by a ruling of 5–4, the Supreme Court of the United States affirmed that the un-apportioned income taxes on interest, dividends and rents imposed by the Income Tax Act of 1894 were, in effect, direct taxes, and were unconstitutional because they violated the provision that direct taxes be apportioned. As late as 1926 the Supreme Court re-affirmed in Bowers v. Kerbaugh-Empire Co., 271 U.S. 170 , the 16th Amendment did not change any part of the Congresses Constitutional powers to tax.

So, my T-Party friends, our next step, after the elections this November, our goal ought to be to reclaim our rights of Sovereignty over our Constitution and remind our Legislators of their duty with regards to Article 1, Section 8 Clause 1, and Section 9, Clause 4 as originally framed. We will also need to repeal the 16th and the 17th Amendments. This will be no easy task without a united effort.

For those who are not aware our original U.S. Constitution gave state governments a strong voice in the national government by requiring them to select U.S. Senators to serve much like ambassadors today in foreign countries. Thus the U.S. Senator was created to be a political look out between state government interests and national government interests. This ability along with the 10th amendment made it possible for the individual States to have a form of veto power over the Federal Government’s ability to impose unjust authority over matters of social policy and taxation. The 17th Amendment in actual effect took away the states power to protect itself, and their Citizens from Federal tyranny. Today I think those differences are self evident such as we have seen in Arizona.

In Conclusion My Fair share means that all Americans have a right to equal opportunity under the Constitution, not equal outcomes; further, and most importantly, Fair Share means all American Citizens would pay the same apportioned tax, lastly you can save or invest your surplus’s in your own future Like Mitt Romney or any other Capitalist.

Did you notice that Fair Share under the Constitution does not include IRS intercession? Did you also know that the IRS is in fact one of those foreign entities alluded to in Article 1, Section 8? The non citizen on the other hand would be subjects of the IRS (Their Foreign) just thought you ought to know.

I have studied these things for over 20 years; some call us Constitutionalists, government protestors and conspiracy freaks. I can tell you that if this were 1776 we would be on the side of George Washington and the Continental army. On the 17th day of September, 1787 our founders gave us our Constitution, a Republic, and our liberty. Today our duty is to recover what we have lost to apathy on our part, and to corrupt politicians over the past 120 years as they have never let a tragedy go to waste. It is past time for OUR FAIR SHARE under the law.

Debate- Round 2

Debate – Round 2
Kevin Bryant

With the first presidential debate finally out of the way, it’s now time to look ahead to round 2.

What did we see from round 1? We saw an incumbent president falter. This is nothing new. Throughout the history of televised debates, the incumbent has historically lost the first debate to his challenger. Carter’s defeat of Reagan in 1980 is the only time an incumbent clearly defeated his challenger in their first debate. So, Romney winning the first round is not uncommon, it’s actually to be expected.

You would think in Round 2 of the debates, with Romney soundly defeating Obama, the same is to be expected. This could not be farther from the truth. Obama has everything working for him in the next debate. Romney has a huge uphill climb to make in order to knock out Obama and make the last debate virtually meaningless. Here’s why:

Obama did such a poor job in Round 1, even if he only does a little better in the second debate, it will appear to his support he improved by leaps and bounds from his first showing.

The media is already in the tank for Obama. Any improvement in the second debate by Obama will give the media something positive to write about and at the very least it will give them a way to portray the debate a draw.

If the debate is a draw in reality, just the idea of Obama making such a drastic recovery will have everyone but the most honest of reporters and columnist hailing his performance as a sound and decisive victory. Those 45% of the voting population who are uninformed and get their news and talking points strictly from mainstream media will eat up the media’s hyping and re-energize themselves.

The next format is a Townhall setting. This is where Obama is at his best. In 2008 in the same type setting, Obama wiped the floor with John McCain. Not being tied to a podium is a real positive for Obama. Obama is a much better creative thinker when he is allowed to move around. His abilities as a showman and entertainer can and will be part of his debate strategy.

In order to have a chance at sweeping all three debates, this is the one Romney has to shine in the most. Not only does Romney have to do as well as he did in the round 1, he has to be better.

I personally think part of the Obama strategy was to lose the first debate but not nearly as bad as he did. Obama and his camp knew Romney was a good debater when he is allowed to stay on message, so why didn’t they try to trip him up? They know they have the video of Romney saying (paraphrasing here) the 47% of people who don’t pay taxes don’t matter in this race. Why didn’t they use it? Obama has been hammering Paul Ryan in his stump speeches but barely mentioned him during round 1. Why didn’t he speak of Ryan more? I believe Obama’s team decided to hold these points and others until he would be in his best setting, i.e. the second debate so he would be more comfortable. By not bringing these points up until the second debate, this gives him the opportunity to use his showman and entertainer abilities to their fullest to give viewers the appearance he is “that guy” the media portrays him to be, a tough and confident highly qualified president.

If Romney isn’t ready for a tougher, more aggressive opponent who is going to throw everything he has into THIS debate, the media will not only declare Obama the winner of round 2, they will declare him the winner and start portraying the Romney campaign dead regardless of results of round 3.

Dear Patriots:

Dear Patriots:

Speaking as an American and former Vietnam Veteran the events of the last week have sickened me to the core. Our gutless, Muslim sympathizer of a President, Yes, You Barack Hussain Obama, should be, at the very least be Impeached, and preferably tried for treason against the United States.

Barack Hussain Obama is no more, no less than guilty of violating his Oath of Office under the Constitution. He swore an Oath to “Preserve, protect and defend the Constitution of the United States.” He has done nothing but piss on our Constitution from the beginning.

I am calling upon my representatives and the United States Senate to take action in these regards. If they have not the fortitude, the courage, or love of country to do this, they along with Obama are equally complicit in the Death of Ambassador Chris Stevens - killed earlier this week when the U.S. Consulate in Benghazi, Libya occurred. This was no less than a terrorist act of war perpetrated upon American soil by Radical Islamist’s, and Egyptians, along with similar acts of terror played out in other American Embassies around the world since by these same entities.

All political correctness aside, Obama’s apology tours, blaming a movie, a presidential candidate, going on David Letterman’s show as an excuse for not meeting with Israel’s Prime Minister, are appalling examples of ineptitude, all disrespectful acts, that mock the highest office of our Land, they should anger most all true Citizens of America.

I am calling upon my friends to send this message to their representatives, as I am; I would hope this message would go viral. I know many like you are outraged by our President, as well as many in the Democratic Party who condone, or try to spin what is in truth, a cowardly display or attempt at appeasement, and apologies at the highest levels of Government. Shame on them!!!!!!!!!!! Damn them to Hell. Barack Hussain Obama is the most disgraceful President America has ever experienced; he deserves throughout future generations to be remembered as such.

Fumble

Fumble
Kevin Bryant

Oh My, what a shocker…..Obama fumbled again.

The anniversary of 9/11 draws near, the anniversary of the most cowardly act ever perpetrated on the United States and where was Obama?

I’m sure more information will come out about the attacks on the US embassy and consulate that took place on the 11th anniversary of 9/11 as well as the attacks and protests that have started since 9/11/2012; however one thing is certain, Obama fumbled it.

Obama missed every intelligence briefing for a week leading up to 9/11/2012. He even missed the one after because it conflicted with a meeting he had and then he had to ….. get ready for it…… rush off to another fundraiser. According to a white house spokesperson, he was completely up to date because he read the daily briefings. First off, briefing papers are just that, a brief summary of the day’s events and analysis. Briefs are not designed to get you up to speed on a subject. They are however, designed to bring points forward for further discussion.

Just days before the attacks in Egypt and Libya, Janet Napolitano, the head of the Dept of Homeland Security announced the threat of an attack on America was low on the anniversary of 9/11, yet just two days before 9/11/2012, the embassy in Egypt stated there was a viable threat to then and other embassies and consulates in the region and they had gotten their information from a very reliable source. What does Obama do, he dismisses the threat and embraces the announcement made by the DHS without further discussion.

Obama’s unwillingness to hold a 45 minute meeting cost the lives of 4 Americans and caused 4 families to lose a loved one. May our thoughts and prayers be with the families of those lost.

The press and the Obama administration is calling it unpatriotic to question his actions and decisions, yet is was Hillary Clinton who in 2008 who stated it was the right and the patriotic duty of all citizens to question the decisions made by their government. I guess that only applies when a republican is in the white house or seeking the white house as she, the rest of the Obama administration along with the press scolded Mitt Romney for his dead on accurate statement regarding the attacks.

Following the attacks, the administration stated these attacks were “random acts of violence”. According to eyewitnesses, these attacks were well coordinated military style attacks. In Libya, the attackers primary target was to take out the security detail. Once completed, they immediately went after the “safe area” where all the staff was to assemble to be transferred to safe houses. Once the attackers gained control of the premises, they immediately went to specific rooms and gathered important documents, computers and other items of national security interest. Does this sound like a flash mob upset over some movie that hurt their feelings?

Obama dropped the ball. Biden dropped the ball, Hillary Clinton dropped the ball, Janet Napolitano dropped the ball, Tom Donilon, the National Security Advisor dropped the ball, Leon Panetta, Sec. of Defense dropped the ball. They fumbled, American lives were lost and sensitive information is now in the hands of our enemies. Even when leading from behind, they still can’t handle the job.

Are You Safer Now Then You Were 4 Years Ago?

Are You Safer Now Then You Were 4 Years Ago?
Al Ritter

Barack Obama seemed concerned 4 years ago about how the world viewed us after 9/11 and the end of the Bush Administration. Today the picture is very different, the President has pandered to the “Arab World” and surprisingly or not, nothing much has changed. Obviously President Obama’s “hope and change” campaign didn’t impress the Muslim nations, and why would it?
Warring factions within their own religion swear violence within their own people. Violence as we know it has no bounds in the Islamic religion, the murder continues unabated throughout the world. Obama continually claims that Islam isn’t our enemy and yet terrorism by Islamic terrorists continues at a scale unfathomable just 12 years ago. We are no safer than we were just 4 years ago, in fact the world is a far more dangerous place to live.
Civilized people see discourse voiced in the way of protests. Muslims see discourse voiced in the way of murder. Disagree with the western world lop the head off a Jewish reporter and show it brazenly to the media. People on the left see the world through rose colored glasses and through politically correct eyes and encourage coexistence and patience. Meanwhile in the real world people are dying because the enemy hides amongst us and pretends to be our friend further entrenching the militants into our society.
Ambassador Christopher Stevens had a utopian view of the world stage and trusted Barack Obama and Secretary of State Hillary Clinton………..he thought world peace was obtainable. The problem was that he was Ambassador in one of the world’s worst Islamic hot spots of the world. The pictures of his dragged corpse are hard to take and the politically correct factions in America say “take those pictures off Facebook we are better than that.” Unfortunately the path we have chosen to this point so far has yielded the result we got yesterday………..death to the civilized world. The pictures are hard to take yes, but they are yet a grim reminder that the rest of the world doesn’t play by our rules.
So the question is……do we continue to placate the barbarian attitudes of the Middle East or do we fight back? Do we continue down the path of allowing the Muslim World to set our foreign policy? Hillary merely repeated the same old talking point that liberals have used since Carter………….”it’s just a few people that perpetrated this crime.” Or do we actually stand up for something and say……….”it’s NOT ok to indiscriminately kill people.” And furthermore, future actions like this will be met with swift and deadly force.
America is tired of being the punching bag of the world we are tired of the demands in the UN of 56 Muslim controlled countries. We scoff at the appointment of Muslim countries to the UN Human Rights Commissions. Regardless whether or not they are radical extremists or run of the mill Muslims, they exemplify EVERY human rights violation possible.
We NEED new leadership in this country, one that sides with Israel, one that recognizes human rights violations when they see it. We need one that recognizes the sanctity of life, and one that respects everyone equally not just the Islamic people.

Dear Patriots

Dear Patriots:
William G. Burmer

Since the beginning of time there has been a steady war between the choices of good and evil.  The RNC and the DNC have shown a clear contrast between these two choices the last two weeks. The voices have been coherent, clear as a bells sound in a cool winter morning, not only to hear but  for all to see; at least for those who have eyes to see, ears that hear, and hearts that are softened by the pure words of Christ.
The problem with so many, sadly, in order to justify behavior contrary to revealed scripture, many have made themselves numb to the truth that vibrates deep within each of us; they have hardened their hearts, and have made themselves enemies of the very thing that would bring them peace, that might cause them to truly appreciate the Sanctuary that attracts so many to Americas boarders.
I wish that all who would call themselves American would read our history without any pre-conceived notions or prejudice.  By the Spirit of Christ which resides in all of us, they would find that those who we call our founders were and are men of God. These men sought to prepare and draft a Constitution that would be, and in the end, was ordained of God ;( D&C98) they established a Government for the People, By the People, and Of the People.  Our Founders were men of a sound education, filled with the wisdom of time and history.  They were men of impeccable character. They knew, for all their understanding that they needed to rely upon a source greater than their own wisdom, if they were to accomplish the task before them worthy of the Peoples trust.
In the words of George Washington “The power under the Constitution will always be in the People.” He went on to say: “A primary object…should be the education of our youth in the science of government.  In a republic, what species of knowledge can be equally important? and what duty more pressing…than…communicating it to those who are to be the future guardians of the liberties of the country?” 1796
There are those who advocate that our founders were deist, advocates of a universal religion absent the influence of God. So today’s DNC would have you believe. This could not be more untrue. Again, from the writings of George Washington, the Father of our American Republic said these words: “I am sure there never was a people, who had more reason to acknowledge a divine interposition in their affairs, than those of the Unite States; and I would be pained to believe, that they have forgotten that agency, which was so often manifested during our revolution, or that they failed to consider the omnipotence of that God, who is alone able to protect them.”
I cannot convince or begin to persuade everyone who reads my column to see what I see or feel the passion I do for my country, what I do hope is that you will look deeply into your individual hearts and choose to make a truly informed vote come this November.
I am a Latter Day Saint, The scripture above comes from what I believe is revealed from our Savior Jesus Christ.  It reads in part: “And now, verily I say unto you concerning the laws of the land, it is my will that my people should observe to do all things whatsoever I command them. And that law of the land which is constitutional, supporting that principle of freedom in maintaining rights and privileges, belongs to all mankind and is Justifiable before me. Therefore, I, the Lord, justify you and your brethren of my church, in befriending that law which is the constitutional law of the land; And as pertaining to law of man, whatsoever is more or less than this, cometh of evil.    I, the Lord God, make you free, therefore ye are free indeed; and the law also maketh you free. Nevertheless, when the wicked rule the people mourn.”

Something Stinks In St. Louis

Something Stinks In St. Louis
Kevin Bryant

In July of 1980, Ronald Reagan polled behind Jimmy Carter. Many at that point thought Carter was shoe-in for reelection. Over the period of August – October, Reagan steam rolled him. Roll forward to July, 2012, in Missouri John Bruner and Sarah Steeleman were in a virtual tie for the republican nomination to challenge Claire MacCaskill for the United States senate. Each polling in the high 30’s to low 40’s with Congressman Todd Akin bringing up the rear somewhere around 12 – 15%. In three weeks time, Todd Akin goes from dead last and out of contention to soundly defeating both Steeleman and Bruner. Last time I checked, Todd Akin isn’t even close to being in the same league as Ronald Reagan.

Claire MacCaskill at the time was polling almost 10 point behind both Bruner and Steeleman and was in within the margin of error against Akin. Now Aunt Claire is ahead of and pulling away from Todd Akin. What I and so many others here in Missouri would like to know is what really happened in those three weeks leading up to that primary.

What we know: Todd Akin is a congressman from the St. Louis area but is almost a complete unknown in the rest of the state. Claire MacCaskill was able to defeat Jim Talent for her senate seat because of an extremely strong showing in the St. Louis area, where she received almost 80% of the vote. Jim Talent took the rest of the state. John Bruner and Sarah Steeleman split almost every section of the state except for St. Louis. Steeleman and Bruner finished with less than 3000 votes separating them but Todd Akin managed to defeat them both by almost 10,000 votes though he finished last in 80% of Missouri’s counties. Todd Akin was outspent outside of the St. Louis metro almost 40 to 1 by the combination of Bruner and Steeleman. Todd Akin literally had no money to spend outside of the St. Louis area.

What we all saw: The MacCaskill campaign shot multiple radio and TV ads opposing all three candidates though hardly any of those against Steeleman or Bruner ever made it on the air. In fact, 95% of her advertisement opposing Steeleman and Bruner was pulled from the Kansas City & Springfield areas by the third week of June, 7 weeks before the election and we got bombarded with “Don’t Vote Todd Akin” ads.

Questions:

1) How does someone who is virtually unknown outside of St. Louis manage to gain 25 percentage points in 21 days spending almost no money and making less than 5 appearances outside of St. Louis.?
2) How did Claire MacCaskill know to keep on running ads against Todd Akin and to stop running them against the two frontrunners?

Just two weeks ago (by the time you read this), Todd Akin, a very seasoned politician, goes on television and makes a speaking error of such enormous proportion that it would actually blow the minds of people if that size mistake was made by someone running for the position of local dogcatcher. No politician outside of Joe Biden is THAT dumb.

Todd Akin now has no money, very little in state support, no out of state support, no backing from the RNC, no vote of confidence from the Romney-Ryan campaign, two candidates who can both raise money and defeat MacCaskill waiting in the wings and he refuses to step down as the party’s candidate for the U.S. senate. Every republican power player in the state has requested he step aside. Only MacCaskill and state democrats still support him staying in and he won’t get out of the race.

Question:

3) You’re beat and you know you’re beat. Why stay in a race you know you can’t win and by staying, you prevent 2 others who are very capable of winning from actually defeating Claire MacCaskill and blocking the republicans from taking back the senate?

Is it just me or can you too smell the political stench coming from St. Louis?

Who Am I?

Who Am I?
Al Ritter
I am the city wrought with crime so much so that I am the second deadliest city in America surpassed only by Detroit for murders. I am the state where its people once called itself the “land of pleasant living.” I am the city where a major revitalization project drew people from around the country to its inner city but has now become an area for “roaming black gangs,” and has now made visitors targets for violent crime.
I am the state that has been controlled by Democrats for over 20 years now. I am the city where corrupt politicians are groomed through the city level. I am the city that breeds corruption through the city council first, graduates to Mayor, then to Governor, never once looking back at the problems they created. I am the city whose crime becomes increasingly worse and yet the past Mayors go on to increasingly higher offices.
I am the city where the immortal words were penned “the land of the free, and the home of the brave,” and yet ranked 43rd out of 50 states for an overall violation of personal freedom in a 2009 study. I am the state where people proudly announced themselves in the 50’s as being from the “free state.”
I am the state that has enacted numerous laws to “protect” it’s most famous tributary, but despite the laws and extra regulations has made very little headway in curbing pollution, but has taxed its inhabitants to a painful level to preserve its cleanliness.
I am the state that has the second largest tax increase from 2010 to 2012 and yet still can’t balance its budget. I am the state that because of its taxing policies has chased off 31,000 millionaire residents to neighboring states between 2007 and 2010.
I am a sanctuary state that supports, hides, and enables illegal aliens. I was the state that promised that illegal aliens would no longer be able to obtain driver’s licenses, but now they are once again getting licenses through the “back door.” I am the state where the legislature has given millions of dollars to a group that printed pamphlets on how to avoid ICE officials thus being deported. This never stopped the flow of money to this group, only slowed it for a short time.
I am the state that once viewed gambling as evil and a tax on the poor while Maryland had a Republican Governor, but quickly enacted a law that allowed slot machines, and is now on a fast track to include full scale gambling through the legislature.
I was once a state that viewed “fees” were taxes but now accepts them as fees rather than taxes, because their Democratic Governor said so.
I am the state whose two senators survive by earmarks and proudly extoll their use as benefiting the people of the state.
I am the state that is increasing its Democratic control through a blatant gerrymandering process that if successful will secure democratic control for decades to come. I am the state, the city, the rural areas that once held their heads proudly above the rest. Alas, that was a long time ago and many Mayors and Governors have passed into the annals of our history. My present Governor is presently being groomed to run for the Presidency, I hope you remember these facts in the future, your country will depend on it!
Who am I? Surely you have guessed by now…….I am the once Great State of Maryland, and once Great City of Baltimore……hard to believe isn’t it?.........sad to see the regressive nature of my state!

DeEnergizing The Base

DeEnergizing The Base
Kevin Bryant

What is going on with the Romney campaign? It appears to me that we are getting a repeat of the John McCain campaign. During the primaries the base was all fired up and record numbers of voters were turning out for primary contests.  But now……..

We have gone from one of the hardest hitting primaries to a softball general election. The Obama campaign is running almost completely unopposed on their record, their distortion of the truth and their Chicago style tactics. Sarah Palin said it best when she told reporters “The McCain campaign wouldn’t allow me to take the gloves off”.

Romney is looking and acting like a nice boy scout who is trying to help an elderly person across the street, not someone in a fight looking to win the white house. If the base wanted another softball campaign we could have gotten that from John Huntsman. We did get that from John McCain.

It’s time to take the gloves off, roll up the sleeves and get dirty. Romney doesn’t need to take the message to the streets of America, he needs to take the fight to the streets of America.

Dear Patriots

Dear Patriots:
William G. Burmer

Recently I received a reply from Barbara Boxer, Senator from California, to an editorial I sent to her and Feinstein some weeks ago. Oh yes, I send my editorials to my representatives. I believe we should all let them know how we feel, not just our friends and those who may disagree.

The reply was predictable, sanitized, polite without mention of any actually subject matter; I was thanked for my comments and assured they would play a role in her decision making process as she worked in the Senate.

I have, in the past, received several letters from my representatives of the same genre. I am sure each of you have also received similar letters if not the same. They begin by inserting your first name “Dear _____. (First Paragraph) Thank you for your recent letter, your comments are important to me BLAH BLAH BlAH. (Second Paragraph) Please visit my web site for some (BS). The (third Paragraph) More (BS) and finally the salutation can be interpreted to mean (Kiss off) your comments are trivial to me and I will enjoy my power and retirement at your personal expense.

I would that the following words of Davy Crockett rang sober within the hearts of more of today’s politicians.

Letter (28 January 1834), reported in A Narrative of the Life of David Crockett (1834), p. 113, final paragraph.

I am sorry to say I do doubt the honesty of many men that are called good at home, that have given themselves up to serve a party. I am no man's man. I bark at no man's bid. I will never come and go, and fetch and carry, at the whistle of the great man in the white house, no matter who he is. And if this petty, un-patriotic scuffling for men, and forgetting principles, goes on, it will be the overthrow of this one happy nation, and the blood and toil of our ancestors will have been expended in vain.

In a letter following his defeat in the 1830 elections, as quoted in David Crockett: The Man and the Legend (1994) by James Atkins Shackford, p. 133

I would rather be beaten and be a man than to be elected and be a little puppy dog. I have always supported measures and principles and not men. I have acted fearless and independent and I never will regret my course. I would rather be politically buried than to be hypocritically immortalized.

To all who serve party over principle I say: Woof Woof, Bow Wow.

In My Opinion

In My Opinion
Kevin Bryant
We all have opinions. Many of us voice them whether they are solicited or not. It’s just human nature to have them and quite often our opinions do not match those around us. Most everything I write here is opinion and sometimes you agree with me and sometimes you don’t. When I state an opinion I do try to clarify my position. Sometimes I succeed and sometimes I fall way short of the measure but at least you get some sense of how I arrived at it.
I’m going to touch on a few subjects today that are “taboo”. Why are they taboo? It’s because political correctness has gone too far in America to allow for free and open discussion on the subjects. As a nation we are so afraid of hurting someone’s feelings, we have almost forgotten how to be truthful with one another.
For far too long “political correctness” has turned people into victims. If you say welfare turns people into slaves of the government, people pretend to be offended by the use of the word slave. Liberal blacks even scold conservative blacks for using the term slave or slavery in the same context that I just did yet, and correct me if I am wrong, I believe it’s less than 15% of all blacks in America can trace their roots or their ancestry to slavery. Why is it an offensive word? It is because race baiting individuals like Emanuel Cleaver, James Clyburn, Sheila Jackson, Jesse Jackson, Al Sharpton and a host of others are making money off blacks by portraying blacks as victims of society. According to all them, whites in America are inherently racist against blacks and even saying the word slavery no matter the context with which it is used is offensive. If anyone has a right to be sensitive to the word slavery, it’s Jews. Blacks were slaves for what, approximately a couple of hundred years, Jews were slaves for a couple of thousands of years yet they don’t complain about it. They don’t try to use it to gain something for nothing. They say white people in America are racist towards blacks. Sorry Jesse, Al and company, the world has been racist against the Jews almost since the dawn of man. When blacks in America reach the same level of racism the Jews have endured, then I will stand beside you and defend your stance. Until that day arrives, no way will I ever classify you as a victim. There is not one black in America that has does not have the opportunity to succeed in this country if they are willing to put forth the same effort it takes a white person of equal stature.
“The federal government should make gay marriage legal in the United States”. I hear that one a lot. Why should the federal government even have a say in the issue. Most gays believe that heterosexuals are prejudice against them. They have been conditioned to believe this by the Fred Phelps of the world. The institution of marriage has been around longer than the Bible and the Quran. Both state marriage is between a man and a woman. The only difference is the Bible does not teach that gays should be stoned to death. Most heterosexuals do not have a problem with civil unions or any other ceremony that unites same sex couples except when the term “marriage” is used. I personally do not have a problem with same sex couples but I, like many others do have a problem calling it a marriage. Marriage was instituted by God through his teachings. The Bible, which has certainly been around longer than any federal government of any country has defined marriage as the union between a man and a woman. It was the government who saw potential profit and made people get a license to get married. My opinion, call it anything you want, just don’t call it a marriage because it does not fit the historical or religious definition of the word and since the word originated within religion, I don’t believe the government has a right to trample it. If the people vote to allow it to be called a marriage in their state, then I will support the states decision, but to have just a state legislature or some judge sitting on a bench decides to make it a law, I will oppose it.
Why is it that roughly 95% of all “hate crimes” that are prosecuted committed by white people? If a white man shoots a black man it’s a hate crime. If a Hispanic shoots a white man it’s not a hate crime. If a black shoots a Hispanic, it’s not a hate crime. I believe if anyone shoots another in a manner other than self defense, it’s a hate crime. If one man beats up another it’s most likely a hate crime. Why is there even a race factor involved? Hate is hate and crime is crime. If Lady Justice is supposed to be blind, why are we making her open her eyes to see what color of skin the people involved are? Hate crime legislation is nothing more than affirmative action for court cases. It does nothing but promote racial differences and further divide us as a nation.
Then there is illegal immigration. The laws concerning illegal immigration in this country is quite clear. The final draft of the constitution states “We The People of the United States”. The constitution was established by and for the citizens of the United States. Nowhere in the constitution do you find the word Mexico. If you aren’t here legally, get out. Come back legally, become a productive member of society and I will welcome you to this country with open arms. My ancestors came here legally, they became citizens legally, they adapted to America and did not try to make America adapt to them and their beliefs. Those here illegally insult us as a nation, they insult those that died forming and defending this nation and they mock us as a nation. Those who like to proclaim America stole California, Arizona, Texas, New Mexico and parts of other states, here is my reply. Mexico started a war with the U.S., Mexico lost. In order for Mexico to continue to be a sovereign nation, they ceded territory instead of having the U.S. army come in and take everything from them. If you don’t like it, go back to Mexico, become El Presidente, declare war on the U.S. and take it all back. Until then, get out of my country and should you choose to come back, do it legally.
There is always going to be differences of opinions. There is always going to racism so long as people allow others to get rich off promoting differences and proclaiming someone a victim of injustice based on race or sexual orientation.
These are my opinions and I welcome yours.

Truth and Obama

Truth and Obama
William G Burmer
Mitt Romney recently asked Obama to apologize for statements made by his régime calling him a “felon” because of alleged cover-ups of off shore financial assets. Never mind the facts or the truth with these regards. The tacit approval of Obama with these accusations sinks below the dignity of his office, however---he doesn’t care. No communist, ego centric, blow hard ever cares about truth or what is morally right; not even the United Nations, which are filled with Obama’s’ closest friends and allies.
Obama, Pelosi, Reid and their minions, like Hitler, Chairman Mao, Hugo Chaivez, Stalin, Ho Chi Minh, and a long list of others are, or were, never interested in the concepts of integrity, truth, justice, fair play, selflessness or morality. Their only interest is their political power and the destruction of anyone or anything that might threaten their ideology.
World War II was the only War fought upon two continents, where there was a full all out, no holds successful exposure of Communist dictators in the world. Even up to the beginnings of the 20th century the Jewish people were hunting down those responsible for the holocaust, found in Venezuela and other parts of South America. After trial they either hung them or shot them in the head. It took two H-Bombs to bring a reluctant end to Japans treachery under Hirohito.
It did not end with World War II as we know, Korea, Viet Nam followed with a longer list of conflicts in the Middle East to date. One thing we should have learned with all of this bloodshed is that Evil exists in governments that choose to control or dominate its people. Religious faith deteriorates, Ignorance is perpetuated, fools and idiots thrive and good people suffer. The Father of America had it right when he counseled us with these words:
“Of all the dispositions and habits which lead to political prosperity, religion and morality are indispensable supports. In vain would that man claim the tribute of patriotism, who should labor to subvert these great pillars of human happiness, these firmest props of the duties of men and citizens. . . Let it simply be asked, where is the security for property, for reputation, for life, if the sense of religious obligation desert the oaths which are the instruments of investigation in courts of justice? And let us with caution indulge the supposition that morality can be maintained without religion. Whatever may be conceded to the influence of refined education . . . reason and experience both forbid us to expect that national morality can prevail in exclusion of religious principle.” George Washington’s “farewell Address”
I pray Mitt Romney can somehow influence Congress after his election to restore such virtues to our political system, our nation and our people; this is my hope, I pray it would be yours as well. I shudder to consider what it will be like if fuehrer Obama is re-elected.

Dear Patriots

Dear Patriots:
William G Burmer
Ever wonder how anyone, even a politician, can live with themselves telling lies, half truths, re-writing or manipulating history to suite their personal view of the World? It is done with such regularity, as we are aware; the lie is becoming the “New Truth.” My greatest concern is for our youth, our children, Grandchildren and Great Grand Children. I have secured a small library for them in my office beginning with Sacred Scripture, and have encouraged them to read from it at their leisure.
Certain People’s hearts appear to have become cold, unfeeling, and indifferent about Truth. Even one in my own family has declared that “your truth is not my truth,” Frankly such a declaration disgusts me to the very core. The blame remains squarely upon his parents and a deteriorating educational system of the last 40 years.
Simple logic should seem sufficient to declare that Truth is synonymous with accurate knowledge or a product of it. Without Knowledge, truth may not be found. This throws the burden of discovering truth upon the individual. Herein lies another important element in mans quest for truth, that is, Agency. With this element a man is free to search to study, read, criticize, analyze and debate. Agency allows the mind and intellect to indulge the idea that there is a power greater than self. Where mans Spirit and his God lifts his soul to a higher place of understanding and agreement. A place as declared by our Savior where “Ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.” John 8:32
The real value of truth comes from that of compelling us to give up untruths. This is one of the most difficult things for most people to achieve. A man will say almost anything, give reasons and excuse to infinity before he will declare “I was wrong, or I was in error.” Our Savior Jesus Christ declared . . . “If the light that is in thee be darkness, how great is the darkness.” We each have a need to humble ourselves, to change our minds, to demand the exit of an old truth long cherished for a new or greater truth so that we might progress further than we previously believed possible.
It is not easy for men to give up their vanities, to overcome their preconceived notions, and surrender themselves, heart and soul to the will of God. In as much as we know, to spite their individual and or collective human foibles, our founders created for us a Great Nation predicated upon Gods Laws. If we will but learn, line upon line, precept upon precept, truth, and walk in its light we shall be free from the errors of men and of their secret crafts. Thus, all mankind, especially our leaders might learn to walk above suspicion, above wrong of every description. Without question our Nation and its people will be approved of God and He will bless us, and He will cause us to prosper and flourish in this great land we love to call America.

Back to Basics

Back To Basics
Kevin Bryant

When a team isn’t hitting, or fielding or tackling or making free throws, what is the first thing the coach says? Usually it’s something about going back and practicing the basics of the game. Your child is having problems with algebra like I did, go back to the basics. It seems simple I theory but in reality sometimes it’s a royal pain to put into practice. We get so caught up in the way we put our own little spin on things that we just can’t seem to let them go, slow down and be willing to start over.

Have you ever had a new boss who comes in and the first thing they want to do is change the way things are done? Doesn’t matter if it’s the processes you use or the contractors and vendors you have always used. Sometimes it’s the brand of coffee in the break-room because he or she likes something different. Welcome to the United States Government

The government has gotten so far off the track of what it is and how it’s supposed to operate that those who grew up in the 40’s, 50’s and 60’s don’t even recognize it. The great equalizer of big oppressive government is supposed to be the supreme court, but as we have witnessed over the past couple of decades is even they have forgotten what their specific role in government is.

There is no magic reset button we can hit. There is no quick fix to right a stray government. It will take a generation to fix all that is wrong with government, and the only way to fix it is to return it back to the basics of what it was meant to be.

Lawyers make up almost all of congress and almost all the presidents we have had over the last century. Go back 200 years ago and who do you find in those positions of power? You have land owners, merchants, businessmen, farmers, ranchers ………..the actual job creators. Anyone who tells you government is not a business is only fooling themselves. The U.S. Government is the biggest business enterprise in the world. Lawyers don’t run business, they regulate business. Lawyers don’t work the land, they regulate its usage. Putting a lawyer in charge of the government is closely related to putting prisoners in charge of the prison.

Justice Roberts the other day described accurately how to get the government back to basics, you fire the people in place and you hire new ones. The federal government refuses to regulate itself. It refuses to abide by the laws it creates yet holds us accountable when we act just like them .…. the lawyers. Lawyers were meant to interpret and defend the law, not make the law. Vote every one of them out of office.

Resetting the government back to basics will take a minimum of 24 years. America needs to be united and committed if they want their country back from the lawyers who control it. Lawyers are referred to as snakes for a reason. This should not be a conservative or a liberal idea but an American idea. Who is better suited to teach your children, someone committed to teaching children because it is their passion or someone who does it but is committed to the teacher’s union? Who is better to take in money, account for the money and spend the money, accountants, business leaders and economist or lawyers? Who is better to decide the path of a business like the government, a CEO or a lawyer?

We all need to dedicate 2012 as the beginning of getting back to basics and taking our government back and the best way to start is taking it out of the hands of the lawyers who control it.

Groups Obama Does Not Like

Groups Obama Does Not Like
Kevin Bryant

There are not too many people in America that Obama likes. You never see him golf (100 rounds and counting) with anyone but his close knit circle members. Dick Cheney may have shot his friend but at least he has friends to hang out with.

Obama doesn’t like white middle class America. David Axelrod stated on the Sunday talk shows some time back that the Obama campaign was not going to try and go after white working class America. I wonder why? Since Obama has taken office, the value of my house has dropped roughly 23%. My gross household income has dropped 42% and my disposable income as dropped over 70%. All this and I am one of the lucky ones, I can still afford (barely) to make my house payments and all the bills that come with ownership.

Obama doesn’t like Hispanics. Not a single member of his inner circle is Hispanic? Not one member of his cabinet is Hispanic. Not one of his 30 something czars were Hispanic. Carter, Reagan, Bush 41 & 43 and Clinton all had Hispanics either in their inner circle or as members of their cabinet. He proved this when he signed his executive order granting what truly is amnesty to all those here illegally between the age of 18 & 30. He basically told those who are here illegally, “You people are suckers for going though the system”. If I were a legal immigrant I would be totally ticked off for rewarding those didn’t come here legally while I invested time, money and effort to do what was right.

Obama doesn’t like lower middle class and poor blacks. If he did, he wouldn’t allow those here illegally to take jobs away from you. Blacks have the highest unemployment rate of all and the gap has actually increased between blacks and whiles since Obama took office.

Obama absolutely hates Christians & Jews. This so called war on women is actually a war on Christianity. Obama calls himself a Christian but takes “Separation of Church & State” to mean “Total Separation of Christian Churches From State”. To hell with Catholics, to hell with Jews, to hell with Protestants, but according to Obama we must not offend the Muslims or the Islamic religion. It might cause bad relations between our nations. I thing, 9/11, burning of American flags and bibles, the killing of innocent Christians and a host of other terrorist attacks on non-Muslims already did that.

Obama HATES the Constitution. On multiple occasions before he took office, he has stated the constitution gets in the way of government. “Hey Obama, that’s what it is supposed to do”. Since taking office, he has circumvented it, ignored it, insulted it and dismissed it. The once self proclaimed constitutional scholar gets infuriated when anyone mentions that he, his ideology and the office he holds is not more powerful than the laws of this land of the constitution that this country is founded on.

The only things that put a sparkle in his eyes is power, money, power, socialism, power, communism, power, obedience from others, power, expanding the Muslim faith, power, marginalizing Christianity and the constitution and last but not least, power. Look at his eyes when he talks about the power of the office of president and his kids. His eyes don’t light up nearly as much when he talks about his kids.
