My new Mantra will be a throw back to the early 1900's.........THROW THE RASCALS OUT!
The Presidential position means very little next to the out of control congress we have right now. Maybe one thing Obama says is true......we need change!
I implore everyone to "balance" the congress, senatorial, and the house! Let's find someone who favors term limits on both houses, and vote them in! If someone has been there for 25 yrs, let's toss them out! We need new blood, balanced blood. We need a balanced congress first, we need term limits next. Let's get something done in Congress for a change!

We know Dick Lamm as the former Governor of Colorado. In that
context his thoughts are particularly poignant. Last week there
was an immigration overpopulation conference in Washington , DC,
filled to capacity by many of America 's finest minds and
leaders. A brilliant college professor by the name of Victor
Hansen Davis talked about his latest book, 'Mexifornia,'
explaining how immigration - both legal and illegal was
destroying the entire state of California . He said it would
march across the country until it destroyed all vestiges of The
American Dream.
Moments later, former Colorado Governor Richard D. Lamm stood up
and gave a stunning speech on how to destroy America . The
audience sat spellbound as he described eight methods for the
destruction of the United States . He said, 'If you believe that
America is too smug, too self-satisfied, too rich, then let's
destroy America . It is not that hard to do. No nation in history
has survived the ravages of time. Arnold Toynbee observed that
all great civilizations rise and fall, and that 'An autopsy of
history would show that all great nation s commit suicide.''
'Here is how they do it,' Lamm said: 'First, to destroy America,
turn America into a bilingual or multi-lingual and bicultural
country. 'History shows that no nation can survive the tension,
conflict, and antagonism of two or more competing languages and
cultures. It is a blessing for an individual to be bilingual;
however, it is a curse for a society to be bilingual. The
historical scholar, Seymour Lipset, put it this way: 'The
histories of bilingual and bi-cultural societies that do not
assimilate are histories of turmoil, tension, and tragedy.'
Canada , Belgium , Malaysia , and Lebanon all face crises of
national existence in which minorities press for autonomy, if
not independence. Pakistan and Cyprus have divided. Nigeria
suppressed an ethnic rebellion. France faces difficulties with
Basques, Bretons, and Corsicans..'
Lamm went on: Second, to destroy America , 'Invent'
multiculturalism' and encourage immigrants to maintain their
culture. Make it an article of belief that all cultures are
equal That there are no cultural differences. Make it an article
of faith that the Black and Hispanic dropout rates are due
solely to prejudice and discrimination by the majority. Every
other explanation is out of bounds.
Third, 'We could make the United States an 'Hispanic Quebec'
without much effort. The key is to celebrate diversity rather
than unity. As Benjamin Schwarz said in the Atlantic Monthly
recently: 'The apparent success of our own multiethnic and
multicultural experiment might have been achieved not by
tolerance but by hegemony. Without the dominance that once
dictated ethnocentricity and what it meant to be an American, we
are left with only tolerance and pluralism to hold us
together.'Lamm said, 'I would encourage all immigrants to keep
their own language and culture. I would replace the melting pot
metaphor with the salad bowl metaphor. It is important to ensure
that we have various cultural subgroups living in America
enforcing their differences rather than as Americans,
emphasizing their similarities.'
'Fourth, I would make our fastest growing demographic group the
least educated. I would add a second underclass, unassimilated,
undereducated, and antagonistic to our population. I would have
this second underclass have a 50% dropout rate from high school.'
'My fifth point for destroying America would be to get big
foundations and business to give these efforts lots of money. I
would invest in ethnic identity, and I would establish the cult
of 'Victimology.' I would get all minorities to think that their
lack of success was the fault of the majority. I would start a
grievance industry blaming all minority failure on the majority
population.'
'My sixth plan for America 's downfall would include dual
citizenship, and promote divided loyalties. I would celebrate
diversity over unity. I would stress differences rather than
similarities. Diverse people worldwide are mostly engaged in
hating each other - that is, when they are not killing each
other A diverse, peaceful, or stable society is against most
historical precedent. People undervalue the unity it takes to
keep a nation together. Look at the ancient Greeks. The Greeks
believed that they belonged to the same race; they possessed a
common Language and literature; and they worshipped the same
gods. All Greece took part in the Olympic games. A common enemy,
Persia , threatened their liberty. Yet all these bonds were not
strong enough to overcome two factors: local patriotism and
geographical conditions that nurtured political divisions.
Greece fell. 'E. Pluribus Unum' --From many, one. In that
historical reality, if we put the emphasis on the 'pluribus'
instead of the 'Unum,' we will balkanize America as surely as
Kosovo.'
'Next to last, I would place all subjects off limits; make it
taboo to talk about anything against the cult of 'diversity.' I
would find a word similar to 'heretic' in the 16th century -
that stopped discussion and paralyzed thinking. Words like
'racist' or 'xenophobe' halt discussion and debate. Having made
America a bilingual/bicultural country, having established
multi-culturism, having the large foundations fund the doctrine
of 'Victimology,' I would next make it impossible to enforce our
immigration laws. I would develop a mantra: That because
immigration has been good for America , it must always be good. I
would make every individual immigrant symmetric and ignore the
cumulative impact of millions of them.'
In the last minute of his speech, Governor Lamm wiped his brow.
Profound silence followed. Finally he said, 'Lastly, I would
censor Victor Hanson Davis's book 'Mexifornia.' His book is
dangerous. It exposes the plan to destroy America . If you feel
America deserves to be destroyed, don't read that book.'
There was no applause. A chilling fear quietly rose like
anonymous cloud above every attendee at the conference. Every
American in that room knew that everything Lamm enumerated was
proceeding methodically, quietly, darkly, yet pervasively across
the United States today.
Discussion is being suppressed. Over 100 languages are ripping
the foundation of our educational system and national
cohesiveness. Even barbaric cultures that practice female
genital mutilation are growing as we celebrate 'diversity.'
American jobs are vanishing into the Third World as corporations
create a Third World in America - take note of California and
other states - to date, ten million illegal aliens and growing
fast. It is reminiscent of George Orwell's book '1984.' In that
story, three slogans are engraved in the Ministry of Truth
Building :'War is peace,' 'Freedom is slavery,' and 'Ignorance
is strength.'
Governor Lamm walked back to his seat. It dawned on everyone at
the conference that our nation and the future of this great
democracy is deeply in trouble and worsening fast. If we don't
get this immigration monster stopped within three years, it will
rage like a California wildfire and destroy everything in its
path especially The American Dream.
If you care for and love our country as I do, take the time to
pass this on just as I did for you.. NOTHING is going to happen
if you don't.

More Lip Service
July 28, 2008 US Congressman “Dutch” Ruppersberger from Maryland reiterated the same meaningless drivel that all Democrats are saying. In his press conference, he referred to public land that was previously leased to oil companies to drill on, ignoring the fact that those lands HAVE NO OIL! He also alluded to the idea that it is the fault of the oil companies that no new refineries have been built since 1973. The democrats and environmentalists have been working hand in hand with each other to stop the building of nuclear power plants, coal fired electric plants, and refineries, and now see fit to blame the lack of refineries on the oil companies. The same old song and dance was reiterated also about how we wouldn’t see any help from drilling for 10 years, and how we need to find alternate energy sources. It’s funny, but, my cars or truck won’t run on wind power, rubber bands, or ethanol additives, or any of the other “Magic fixes” the democrats seem to want to push down our throats………”Thanks for nothing Dutch”, but you sure looked good on TV!!!
Meanwhile, our do nothing congress is about to ajourn without voting on the release of drilling in ANWR, off coast, and shale. If this makes you as mad as it does me, go online and sign the petition to make them do something!

More on Oil and prices
“Congressional attacks on speculation do not alter the oil market’s fundamental demand and supply conditions. What would lower the long-term price of oil is for Congress to permit exploration for the estimated billions upon billions of barrels of oil domestically available, not to mention the estimated trillion-plus barrels of shale oil in Wyoming, Colorado and Utah. Some politicians pooh-pooh calls for drilling, saying it would take five or 10 years to recover the oil. I guarantee you we would begin to see a reduction in today’s prices even if it took five to 10 years for us to get the first barrel. Put yourself in the place of an OPEC member knowing there would be a greater supply of U.S. oil five or 10 years, hence maybe driving oil prices lower to say $40 a barrel. What will you want to do now while oil is $130 a barrel? You would want to sell as much oil now and OPEC’s collective efforts to do so would put downward pressures on current oil prices. Right now the U.S. Congress is OPEC’s staunchest ally.” —Walter Williams

The left leaning media’s reporting last year included 23% reporting on Iraq, focusing mostly on body counts, while this year reporting on Iraq has dropped to less then 3%. Another statement of “not in my back yard”
Citing the Supreme Court’s decision requiring the EPA to regulate the emission of CO2, which, incidentally, is both botanically necessary and harmless to humans and animals, Moore nixed the 1,200-megawatt plant in Early County, leaving many to wonder how the state will meet its rising electricity needs in the future.
To make matters worse, the rewards of bowing at the altar of global warming are guaranteed to be virtually nonexistent. Patrick Michaels, senior fellow for environmental studies at the Cato Institute, notes that even if every nation adopted the Kyoto Treaty, the world would rein in global warming by a mere seven-hundredths of a degree Celsius.
So while the Sierra Club elitists herald “a new day,” Georgia’s workers are left to live that day facing continued economic difficulties, thanks to global warming’s mindless minions and one duly-deluded judge.

Frog Theory
If you drop a frog in boiling water he will leap right out. If you slowly heat the water he will be content until it's too late to get out. That is exactly how history works. It moves slowly and we sometimes never see any danger until it's too late.
Remember how suppressed workers were before unions came along? The unions leveled the playing field. Unfortunately, over a long period of time the pendulum swung too far. Slowly, businesses and factories closed and jobs left the country. We were comfortable and didn't see the change coming. We blamed everyone except ourselves for what happened. We weren't alert to how slow things change over time.
World War II, and the Korean War, demonstrated how powerful a united nation could be. Our nation, and our families were united. The father was the head of the family and the President was the head of the nation. Both were highly respected. We were content and happy.
We were good at fighting a hot war but we were unprepared to fight a cold war with the communists in the 50's.
The 60's ushered in the radicals, drug culture, student protesters, and the Vietnam War. The aim of the cold war was to divide and conquer. They divided our families and the nation. The secret to defeating a polite and respectful people is to scream. The louder and longer you scream the better your chance of winning. Radicals are masters at this form of attack. They know if you constantly scream and repeat a lie it will eventually become the truth.
The media, and Hollywood, hammered us with hate America themes and stories. Our service men, and women, were jeered, cursed, and spit on. Even the people, who latter wanted to become their President, trashed them. We lost our first War in history. There was no hero's homecoming for our fighting men and women.
The Reverend King, who was raised in the old school, peacefully changed the race issue and united the people. When he died the new breed of Black leaders like the Jesse Jackson's, Lewis Farrakon,'s Al Sharpton's, and Rev. Wright's put a lid on his efforts and turned racism into a money making machine.
Corporations were green-mailed by threats of protests, product boycotts, or endless lawsuits. Every issue, large or small, became a race issue. The public recoiled in fear of being called a racist. Their voices were silenced because one word could cost you a career, get you fired, or get you sued.
Our politicians buckled under to the pressure. The Florida legislature issued a formal apology for having slavery 200 years ago. They were thanked by being asked for compensation. There is no end in sight for this kind of nonsense. America didn't capture slaves and bring them to America. Their own people sold them to slave traders from several nations. This knowledge doesn't stop the screamers. History is what it is and you can't change it although the screamers continually try to re-write history as they want to see it (to try to prove their point that America is Evil).There have been many tragic events in history. You should acknowledge them and move on.
The Socialists and screamers divided our nation into two separate Americas. We now have Americans, African-Americans, Mexican Americans and Arab Americans, although Africa or these other places have nothing to do with being an American. You can be one or the other but not both. You are what you were born to be. You do not subordinate our country to any foreign nation. It's equivalent to flying the Mexican flag above the Stars and Stripes.
This election year could be the turning point in our history because the frog theory has come into play. It's time to step back and look at how the country has slowly changed since the cold war started. Don't get caught up in all the hype.
George McGovern was the first Presidential candidate to test the waters with college students. The Clinton's played a big role in his campaign. It was the worst campaign ever run. He was crushed in the election.
Step two was to infiltrate all the information vehicles such as Broadcasters, Newspapers, Magazines, and Movies. They were quite successful at that.
Jimmy Carter was the first President to demonstrate the leadership skills of the far left. Weak military, high taxes, runaway inflation, 19% mortgage rates, and plain incompetence ended his career in Washington. Iran, a small country at the time, took American hostages and kicked sand in our face. By negotiating from weakness Carter could not get the hostages released.
The Carter years were followed by the Reagan years. The nation got a clear look at the difference between a weak nation and a strong nation. Everyone should know this difference.
Clinton took over Carters uncompleted social programs. He weakened the military and tried to pass large government programs. An Intern derailed his Presidency. While he was tied up with his personal problems his lawyers ran the country. He passed up three opportunities to take out Osama Bin Laden. This eventually cost us the loss of our Twin Towers, thousands of American lives, and got us involved in a war with Iraq.
By the end of his term the left had captured a large share of the media and it flexed its muscle in 2000.The hate Bush campaign got off to a roaring start. The brainwashing theory of repeating the same story over and over again was launched.
There were endless stories about our evil nation and its President. Top-secret plans were leaked to the press and printed for the entire world to see. Hollywood cranked out documentaries about the evil Bush administration and our evil military. The groundwork was laid for the next election. The ACLU flooded the courts with lawsuits and the Democrat party became a law firm. Almost every incumbent, or his or her spouse, is a lawyer.
The only thing we really know about Obama is that his wife has never been proud to be an American. They want us to believe that his liberal college professors, Rev. Pfleger, his ties to radicals Bill Ayer and Lewis Farrakon, and listening to the Rev. Wright's hate talks for 20 years, has had no influence on his thinking. If they didn't influence his thinking, then who did? He wasn't in business and didn't see fit to serve his country. These people launched his political career and their organizations received earmarks in return for their campaign donations and political help. They must have had some influence. Rev. Wright's church received over $15 million. That's only one small local church. Think on a national scale.
The Change being promoted is a change back to the Carter years. It started in 2006 when the lawyer party took over. There have been endless lawsuits and investigations in retaliation for the Clinton years. It keeps the lawyers busy but does nothing for the economy. The economy has been in a downward spiral since they took over.
Returning to the Carter years of high taxes, high inflation, and a weak military is not the change that is good for America. We cannot cower to a bunch of crazies whose only goal in life is to kill us.
The old sage's (those of over 50 years of age) MUST play a big role in this election. Our young people simply don't know what the older Americans know. The advantage of our aging is the knowledge we’ve accumulated. We know what United States means. We know what the seldom-heard word Respect means. We know how wonderful freedom and independence is. You know the difference between a strong and a weak nation; and we know what it takes to keep it strong. We know history because we have lived it.
Although the old guard is dying off, and getting too tired to fight, we have to muster one more charge. If we don't, our children, and grandchildren, will never know the joy and freedom that is the bedrock of our country. The heat is slowly being turned up and the water is getting hot.

Senator Barack Obama, talks about unity, and bringing all people together, and yet Chicago ministers in the church he attended for 20 years preach something entirely different.

Senator Barack Obama, in his first 2 years as a US Senator had the ability to vote 200 times, but instead voted only 55 times, voting “no vote” 143 times. 71.5% of the time.
Senator Barack Obama, although he disagrees with the war in Iraq, he is far from being a pacifist. He feels we attacked the wrong countries, on his “hit list” as President, are the countries of Pakistan, Afghanistan, and Iran.

Senator Barack Obama, even though he claims himself a “moderate”, has been selected the “most liberal senator” by the National Journal in 2007, voting 100% along party lines, not once reaching across the isle. Even Ted Kennedy hasn’t done that!
Senator Barack Obama, sides with his party on banning drilling for Oil in ANWR, FL, and the Oceans, while supporting higher taxes on oil companies.

Senator Barack Obama, wants to spend taxpayer money to bail out bad house loans that the democrats initially instituted, but to leave the bad law that allowed it intact so it can happen again.
Senator Barack Obama, rewrites history constantly to fit his view of the world, and yet never gets called on it by the media, whether it’s purposely or not makes no difference.
Senator Barack Obama, wants to reinstate the highest taxation rate on a person’s estate, even though an estate has already been taxed at least once.
Senator Barack Obama, has announced to the public that every American, “by birth right” will be entitled to health care, (read children born in this country from illegal alien parents).
Senate Barack Obama, wants to institute a cap and trade (tax) on carbon based fossil fuels similar to the Kyoto Protocol that will increase the price of gasoline, heating oil, and jet diesel fuel from 20-40%. It will increase natural gas by 60-150%, and coal by 500-1000%! This protocol has been in effect in Europe for some 5 years now and has NOT decreased the emissions, or even met the goals.
Senator Barack Obama, has refused to concede on any energy solution, he refuses Nuclear, he refuses drilling, he has refused all solutions, but offers none of his own, leaving the country in a stalemate if he becomes president? Wind and solar can only fill a 10% gap in energy at best, he’s going to have to decide on something.

Nobel Prize-winning economist and Columbia University professor Robert Mundell is often credited as being one of the original “supply-side” economists, so when he speaks, one should listen. Mundell now advises that if the Democrat-controlled Congress follows through on its promise to rescind the Bush tax cuts, “the U.S. [economy] will go into a big recession, a nosedive.” He further warns Democrat nominee and sworn tax hiker Barack Obama, “It’s a lethal thing to suddenly raise taxes. This would be devastating to the world economy, to the United States, and it would be, I think, political suicide” in a general election.
Instead of the typical Democrat solution, Mundell advocates lowering taxes even further. Specifically, the marginal rate, which is currently 35 percent; it should be 30 percent, according to Mundell. Additionally, the corporate rate should be cut to 25 percent. He advocates making the other Bush tax cuts permanent because “[e]liminating that uncertainty would be more important than pushing for a further cut—in the income tax rates, anyway.” The uncertainty is all the more glaring when looking at the history of income taxes. The top marginal rate has been anywhere from three percent when first instituted to 92.5 percent during World War II. Should Obama be elected and Democrats further expand their congressional majorities, the “change you can believe in” may be only what you can find in the couch.

An Unconventional Thought (10 Reasons Why)

Over the course of recent past presidential elections, the selection of a VP candidate has played a very important role. Reagan’s selection of George Bush helped solidify the republican base because Reagan was a former Democrat Governor of California and was viewed by some conservatives as still a democrat at heart. Bill Clinton chose Al Gore because he knew that to win the election, he needed to lock down the south and what better way than to choose a well known southerner. George Bush 43 chose Dick Cheney because Cheney was solid in his convictions and had a reputation for getting the job done.
In days of old, the VP was always the person who came in second in the election until the now 2 party system really came into play. Before the days of party politics and finding ways to paint everything as gloom and doom on the incumbent and their party, this country was continually moving forward and becoming a nation that other countries could only dream of becoming. We were the envy of the world.
Perhaps it’s time to put a modern twist on the old ways of doing things.
Every poll has Obama leading McCain by anywhere from 5 to 15 points. McCain has several issues that he must overcome in order to be elected: lack of support by young people, trailing Obama for the female vote, lagging well behind in the minority vote, struggling to define himself and he also has a serious lack of appeal to the general public. Then add to all this the low approval rating of Bush 43 and all the misguided people out there that think the reason we are in a recession, a war, have high gas and energy price, food prices have hit an all time high. and in a mess in general, is somehow a republican only made mess.
One of the duties of the VP is to preside over the Senate. In order for a president to be successful, he or she needs to have at least one house of the legislative body supporting their agenda. We all know that the democrats control both houses and will pick up even more seats in the coming election. In order for the republicans to hold the White House, it’s time to think well outside the box of contemporary politics.
The title of this opinion piece is “An Unconventional Thought”. Unconventional thinking is going to be the only way to not only solve the current problems our government has created, but will also be required in order to get this country moving once again in the right direction for all it’s citizens. This is why I suggest and support the idea that Hillary Clinton be the VP choice of the Republican Party.
I know, she has come out and publicly stated that she will work hard to get Obama elected but in fact she has not officially dropped out of the presidential race. She has merely suspended her campaign in hopes that something totally disastrous will happen to Obama and if so, she will get the nomination. History has proven time and again that both she and Bill can be bought for the right price and a shot at becoming VP would be a very attractive offer.
I know, a lot of you reading this have yet to pick your jaws up off the floor, but the positives of this would far outweigh any negative. Look at the facts:
1. She got 18 MILLION votes and carried some very key states.
2. A McCain / Clinton ticket would guarantee two terms in office.
3. She is a household name far more recognizable than anyone the republicans can offer up for the VP slot.
4. She would have the chance to show that she can cross party lines and work with republicans for the common good of this country.
5. She would be the VP for a republican president and preside over a democratic controlled senate.
6. She would be forced to work with republicans and not against them thus throwing away “party first” politics.
7. She loves the spotlight and craves power and will do anything to keep herself in the public view including supporting policies that she has campaigned against.
8. She would be in a position to offer up and support cabinet nominations what would also be in positions that force working across party lines.
9. Should she run for the presidency again, a majority of the administration would remain in place thus not allowing party politics to overwhelm the administration.
10. She would be forced to run a campaign in support of bi-partisan ideas and policies that she will have supported as the VP or face losing credibility.
The candidate that can think outside the box and come up with viable alternatives to the “same old politics as usual” is going to win this election. Unfortunately, in the eyes of many Americans, Obama is leading in that aspect. A McCain / Clinton ticket would shatter the illusion that Obama is the candidate of change and at the same time, would force our 14% approval rating congress to work together in the bi-partisan manner in a way that this country has been needing and lacking in for the past decade and beyond.

The recent comments made by Retired Army General Wesley Clark about John McCain and his lack of experience as a military commanding officer was to say the least “out of line”. Not since President and retired 5 star General Dwight D. Eisenhower has there been a commander–in-chief who has held a higher military rank than that obtained by John McCain. I’m not going to look these up so I may be wrong about one or two of them but lets take a look at who has been a military officer and the ranks that they held:
John McCain – Navy Commander (O-5)
John Kennedy – Navy Lieutenant (O-3)
Lyndon Johnson – Navy Lieutenant JG (O-2)
Richard Nixon – Navy Lt. Commander (O-4)
Gerald Ford – Navy Lieutenant (O-3)
Jimmy Carter – Navy Lieutenant (O-3)
Ronald Reagan – Army Captain (O-3)
George H. Bush - Navy Lieutenant JG (O-2)
George W. Bush – Army 1st Lieutenant (O-2)
Now take a look at those who Wesley Clark has publicly supported and stated that they would make or was a great commander-in-chief:
Bill Clinton – No Military Service
John Kerry – Navy Lieutenant JG (O-2)
Hillary Clinton – No Military Service
Barrack Obama – No Military Service
General Clark has always been troubled by the fact that those that he commanded did not see him as, or given the same respect and praise that was given to Retired General Norman Schwarzkopf or even his own junior commander, Retired General Tommy Franks. Could it be jealousy that has driven him to the far left of the political spectrum considering that both Schwarzkopf & Franks have both supported President Bush publicly and were courted by the RNC to run for office? Could it be because both are more popular and certainly more respected in and out of military officer and enlisted circles. During his failed run at the presidency, he received little support from the retired officer community and even less from the retired enlisted ranks.
Barrack Obama has tried to distance himself from General Clark over the past few days. Who could blame him? I wouldn’t want the masses that have served or are still serving in the military to think that I support his comments. Yet Barrack does support them. Several of his noted supporters and key senior advisors have made comments similar to those of General Clark. Obama knows that to attack McCain directly in regards to his military service would be detrimental to his election efforts, so why not have those around you attack him and set yourself up as a hero for defending McCain’s record and service. Classic good cop – bad cop. If there is anyone who does not believe that this is an orchestrated effort to attack McCain on his strongest asset, I have some beachfront property in Arizona and Nevada I’d like to sell you.

They want you to be mad!
They want you to be mad about home foreclosure, even though they made a law allowing bad loans, and plan for a federal bailout, even though they haven’t rescinded the law, that allowed it in the first place, so it can happen all over again.
They want you to be mad about the price of gasoline, even though they had never signed an “Energy Policy ”into law.
They want you to be mad about the cost of food rising because the diversion of corn to make gasoline go farther, even though THEY made the law based on a “Preponderance of Evidence,” that it was a good idea.
They want you to be mad about the war in Iraq, even though all the sitting democrats that time wrote to President Bush and demanded action against Saddam Hussein.
They want you to be mad at the “price of the war” all the while hiding the price of next year’s budget of 1 trillion dollars into social programs.
They want you to be mad at the cost of health care, but they take money from Lawyer’s PACS and lobbyists, to keep from setting limits on litigations.
They want you to be mad about the cost of gasoline, but on the same hand demand a world economy, so we have to compete with China and India for the ability to buy it.
They want you to be mad about the illegal alien issue, but they have put off building of the border fence, and seek to offer some sort of amnesty to that whole new group of voters that will soon become democrats.
They want you to be mad about the social security program’s liquidity, while they dole out benefits to illegals over the age of 65 that have never paid a penny into the system.
They want you to be mad about man made global warming, while never citing a country in the world who has cut any emission to the 2005 levels, nor have they told you the cost of their intended programs.
They want you to be mad at President Bush’s recent vetoes, of proposed laws, while they strap on pork barrel projects that exceed the original program’s cost, but when criticism comes those extra programs are never mentioned.
They want you to be mad at health insurance, Social Security, Medicaid, Medicare, and welfare, even though no senator or congressman has to deal with those programs, because they have voted themselves their own elitist programs that cover those costs.
They want you to be mad at the economy, while they vote on programs that drive businesses from our country, and they vote to turn over our hard-earned taxes to poor third-world nations, in some twisted international welfare program.
They want you to be mad at “big business” and scapegoat them as the bad guys for making money, but they never stop to think that “big business” is the vehicle that allows them to “gift” all our money away.
They want you to be mad at the President for not mandating higher MPG on vehicles, even though the President doesn’t introduce legislation they do! While Harry Reid tried unsuccessfully to stop war funding 41 times, he never had time to work on an energy bill or even mandating higher MPG cars.
They want you to be mad because the President hasn’t pushed to “explore alternate fuel sources,” while they denounce drilling in our country, denounce new refineries to be built, denounce Nuclear Energy, and have no ideas themselves, other then to stick their heads in the sand and hope it goes away, or to hope someone comes up with a rubber band, wind or solar powered car. How many billions of cars are on our roads that use gasoline?
They want you to be mad at everyone but them, but when President Bush steps down in January, they will need a new whipping post!

Independence Day 2008
The Necessary Holiday
If our nation’s Founders could visit us on this, our 232nd Independence Day, what would they make of us? What would they declare of us?
A hint can be discerned in a letter from John Adams to his wife, Abigail, on July 3, 1776, as the Declaration of Independence had just been approved. “It ought to be commemorated,” said the man who would become our second president, “as the Day of Deliverance by solemn Acts of Devotion to God Almighty. It ought to be solemnized with Pomp and Parade, with Shews, Games, Sports, guns, Bells, Bonfires and Illuminations from one End of this Continent to the other from this Time forward forever more. You will think me transported with Enthusiasm but I am not. I am well aware of the Toil and Blood and Treasure, that it will cost Us to maintain this Declaration, and support and defend these States. Yet through all the Gloom I can see the Rays of ravishing Light and Glory. I can see that the End is more than worth all the Means. And that Posterity will tryumph in that Day’s Transaction, even altho We should rue it, which I trust in God We shall not.”
Americans have maintained the “Pomp and Parade” for more than two centuries now, and the “Bonfires and Illuminations” are commonplace, but how often do we recognize Independence Day as “the Day of Deliverance?” How often do we honor it with “solemn Acts of Devotion to God Almighty”? How often do we contemplate the cost of our freedom, “the Toil and Blood and Treasure?”
Our Founders believed that independence was more than a choice; they viewed our break from royal rule as necessary.
Consider the first statement of the Declaration: “When in the course of human events, it becomes necessary for one people to dissolve the political bands which have connected them with another, and to assume among the powers of the earth, the separate and equal station to which the Laws of Nature and of Nature’s God entitle them, a decent respect to the opinions of mankind requires that they should declare the causes which impel them to the separation.”
The signatories were emphatic that separation from the crown was not only an objective, but an obligation: “But when a long train of abuses and usurpations, pursuing invariably the same Object evinces a design to reduce them under absolute Despotism, it is their right, it is their duty, to throw off such Government, and to provide new Guards for their future security.—Such has been the patient sufferance of these Colonies; and such is now the necessity which constrains them to alter their former Systems of Government.” In conclusion, the Founders wrote, “We must, therefore, acquiesce in the necessity, which denounces our Separation...”
Their cause, of course, was not anti-government. Rather they objected to the misgovernment of the king, saying, “He has refused his Assent to Laws, the most wholesome and necessary for the public good.” Furthermore, the Americans had been patient, petitioning their British rulers for redress for over a decade. Armed hostilities had commenced on April 19, 1775, at the battles of Lexington and Concord, and the colonists faced the full power of the British Empire in their quest for American independence.
One year before taking that step for nationhood, on July 5, 1775, the Continental Congress adopted the Olive Branch Petition, beseeching the British king for a peaceful resolution of the American colonies’ grievances. A day later, that same Congress resolved the “Declaration of the Causes and Necessities of Taking Up Arms.”
King George III refused to read the peace petition and assembled his armies. On July 2, 1776, Richard Henry Lee’s proposal for a formal declaration of separation passed, and the document was ordered printed on July 4.
The war-weary among us today might ask, was independence really necessary?
To pose the question at the outset of the Revolutionary War was to answer it. Representatives of the colonial Americans realized that, in voicing this query, they already possessed proof that they, not the King of England, were legitimate instruments of self-government for their countrymen. How could circumstances be otherwise when the king offered no remedy for his subjects’ complaints, no guarantee their rights would be respected, and no means for them to govern themselves in their new lands?
The founders knew, however, that power could not be its own justification. They recognized that only an appeal to overarching laws, binding the king as much as his subjects, was legitimate. And abuse of authority demonstrated disqualification of any governor, whether a monarch or a purported representative.
We would do well to apply this insight to the political debates of today.
Indeed, two competing philosophies of government at odds during the American Revolution have reappeared, with the anti-republican form seen in those politicians who would seek to gain favor by manipulating language and misrepresenting their positions. Royalists, on the other hand, believed that the king was divinely ordained to rule over the people and was therefore above the law. This view is manifest currently in government officials—especially our elected officers—who believe they may properly command the citizenry to whatever they please, to whichever they purport to be for the good of the people.
As Thomas Jefferson observed, “Were we directed from Washington when to sow, and when to reap, we should soon want bread.” Yet the prevailing philosophy of government proposes exactly this—that directions from Washington as to how we must conduct ourselves, in matters large and small, will lead inexorably to scarcity and will inevitably erode our freedom.
Our system of government today is not so different from the monarchy we escaped, except that a swarm of bureaucrats have taken up the throne.
A necessity thus presents itself to us as well: We must reconnect with the timeless principles that inspired our Founding Fathers; those same principles that long ago gave birth to a good, great and God-blessed nation.
“[W]hat do we mean by the American Revolution?” reflected John Adams. “Do we mean the American war? The Revolution was effected before the war commenced. The Revolution was in the minds and hearts of the people; a change in their religious sentiments, of their duties and obligations... This radical change in the principles, opinions, sentiments, and affections of the people was the real American Revolution.”
Let us celebrate this Independence Day 2008 in a manner that Adams himself might recognize—with “solemn Acts of Devotion to God Almighty,” and with a rededication to the principles of our necessary American Revolution. And as always, in the words of George Washington, “Guard against the impostures of pretended patriotism.”

Execution?

UPPER MARLBORO, Md. - The family of a 19-year-old man found strangled in his cell a day after he was jailed on charges of running over and killing a police officer is "outraged" over his death, their attorney said Tuesday. Ronnie White's death is being investigated as a homicide by the FBI and Maryland state police. He died Sunday in the Prince George's County Correctional Center from asphyxiation and strangulation, the state medical examiner said.Officials said seven guards had access to White at the time of his death, as did an unspecified number of supervisors. Authorities are also investigating whether anyone from the outside had access to the inmate.
Bobby G. Henry Jr., the attorney representing the inmate's family called for "a thorough and exhaustive investigation." The family is "absolutely, unequivocally outraged and incensed and deeply saddened for the loss of life of their loved one," he saidHe angrily denounced the actions that led to White's death, saying the perpetrators "took it upon themselves to be both the judge, the jury and the executioner."
State police are leading the investigation into White's death at the request of county officials. The FBI is focusing on possible civil rights violations."If we have vigilante justice, our society will fall apart," Prince George's County Executive Jack Johnson said at a news conference Monday.Johnson said that he believes the death was "unrelated to any act by the Prince George's County Police Department."
Curtis Knowles, president of the corrections officers' union, said he was working that day but not in the unit. Officers involved in monitoring the inmate told Knowles that they came to feed White, tapped on the window and yelled through a slot in the door, but White didn't reply. They went in and shook White, but he didn't respond, Knowles said.
June White-Dillard, head of the Prince George's branch of the NAACP, said that she was pleased the FBI was investigating the case but disturbed by the nature of the death of the inmate.o one should have had access to him that could have caused him harm," she said.
White was found on the floor of his cell at the Prince George's County jail at 10:30 a.m. Sunday with no pulse, according to officials. Jail medical staff who treated him reported no visible signs of trauma on his body, and he was declared dead an hour later at a hospital.
Henry said White's family wasn't immediately contacted about the death. It was not until several hours after he died that the family was told to go to the hospital to identify the body, Henry said. When the family arrived, they were told the body was not there. Instead, it had been taken by the medical examiner to Baltimore for an autopsy.
White had been held by himself in maximum security since he arrived at the jail around 12:30 a.m. Saturday morning.He was charged with first-degree murder in the death Friday of Prince George's County Cpl. Richard Findley, 39, during a traffic stop in Laurel. Findley, who was part of a team investigating car thefts, was killed after he got out of his cruiser and was dragged by a truck, which had been reported stolen. Authorities said White was driving the truck.
Gov. Martin O'Malley ordered the state flag be flown at half-staff until sunset Thursday in memory of Findley, a 10-year veteran of the county police.
White was one of four people taken into custody by police after the truck was found at a nearby apartment complex shortly after Findley was killed. The three others were questioned and released, according to Officer Henry Tippett, a county police spokesman.
White received medical and psychological assessments that jail officials said did not uncover any problems. He was placed in a maximum security cell because he was considered a "high profile offender." Guards checked him every half hour. At 10:15 a.m. he was sitting on the side of his bunk and was alert, according to a timeline provided by jail officials. But fifteen minutes later, he was found unresponsive.
There have been several problems recently at the county jail, including a former police corporal convicted of murdering a man who was found with a handcuffs key. The county's director of corrections was fired in early June when four handguns went missing from the jail armory.
According to court records, White pleaded guilty to illegal possession of a firearm last year, and in another case, to drug possession. In 2006, he was charged with first-degree assault and armed robbery, but the case was dropped, records show. Last November, he was sentenced to more than six months in prison, but it's not clear when he was released.
Findley was also a volunteer firefighter in the county, according to Vince Canales, president of the police union. A viewing was scheduled for Wednesday, followed by a funeral Thursday in Beltsville. Findley is survived by a wife and two young daughters. "He was a wonderful person," said Al Schwartz, chief of the Beltsville Volunteer Fire Department where Findley served for 20 years. "He could make you smile in a heartbeat."

This is one of several unexplained deaths in Maryland Jails this year. The very fact that after 2 days not one guard, supervisor, or warden has been suspended as a result is mind boggling! Where are the security cameras? Certainly a 15 minute time frame shouldn’t be hard to find. This all goes back to “blue on blue,” the untold code of cops not telling on other cops, whether they be police officers or guards. This stinks to high heaven of a cover-up of a retribution execution! Granted this was a hardened criminal, and deserved to be tried to the fullest extent of the law but, Governor Martin O’Malley needs to be put on notice that this won’t be tolerated!

Tale of Two Houses
House #1 A 20 room mansion (not including 8 bathrooms) heated by natural gas. Add o n a pool (and a pool house) and a separate guest house, all heated by gas. In one month this residence consumes more energy than the average American household does in a year. The average bill for electricity and natural gas runs over $2400. In natural gas alone, this property consumes more than 20 times the national average for an American home. This house is not situated in a Northern or Midwestern 'snow belt' area. It's in the South.
House #2 Designed by an architecture professor at a leading national university, this house incorporates every 'green' feature current home construction can provide. The house is 4,000 square feet (4 bedrooms) and is nestled on a high prairie in the American southwest. A central closet in the house holds geothermal heat-pumps drawing ground water through pipes sunk 300 feet into the ground. The water (usually 67 degrees F.) heats the house in the winter and cools it in the summer. The system uses no fossil fuels such as oil or natural gas and it consumes one-quarter electricity required for a conventional heating/cooling system. Rainwater from the roof is collected and funneled into a 25,000 gallon underground cistern. Wastewater from showers, sinks and toilets goes into underground purifying tanks and then into the cistern. The collected water then irrigates the land surrounding the house. Surrounding flowers and shrubs native to the area enable the property to blend into the surrounding rural landscape. ~~~~~
Climate change this week: Al’s Big House (Update)
The Tennessee Center for Policy Research (TCPR) reported this week, “In the year since Al Gore took steps to make his home more energy-efficient, the former Vice President’s home energy use surged more than 10%.” TCPR noted Al’s hypocritical use of energy before, and Gore shortly thereafter “scurried to make his home more energy-efficient.” Ironically, however, “Despite adding solar panels, installing a geothermal system, replacing existing light bulbs with more efficient models, and overhauling the home’s windows and ductwork, Gore now consumes more electricity than before the ‘green’ overhaul.” What are the numbers? Gore’s mansion used 213,210 kilowatt-hours (kWh) of electricity in the last year. That’s roughly enough to power 232 average U.S. homes for one month. The 17,768 kWh per month Gore uses now is 1,638 kWh more than before the renovations. The average home uses only 11,040 kWh per year. In the meantime, Big Al has made some big bucks—TCPR notes that his wealth has grown by some $100 million because of speaking fees and global-warming investments. Just remember: Do as he says not as he does.
Yet ANOTHER update on Al Gore!
Al Gore or own homegrown Nobel Prize winner on pollution was giving a speech in Washington D.C on July 27, 2008 while his fleet of 7 SUVs idled outside with air conditioners running until his speech was done. Afterwards he climbed in with his wonderful wife Tipper and drove off! When will Americans see him for what he really is?
